Antwan Peek
Antwan Peek (born October 29, 1979) is a former American football linebacker. He was drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at Cincinnati. Peek has also played for the Cleveland Browns. Early years Peek is a 1998 graduate of Woodward High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was a letterwinner in football, basketball, and track & field. In football and basketball, he was named the Team's Most Valuable Player as a senior. College career Peek played college football at the University of Cincinnati. He set a school record with 27.5 sacks and finished his career with 200 tackles. He majored in criminal justice. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). Woodward Career Technical High School is a public high school located in the Bond Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It is part of the Cincinnati Public School District. It was founded as one of the first public schools in the United States in 1831. History Old Woodward Building Woodward was one of the first public schools in the country.
