Aleksey Antropov
Alexei Petrovich Antropov (russian: Алексей Петрович Антропов; – ) was a Russian painter active primarily in St. Petersburg, where he was born and died. He also worked in Moscow and frescoed churches in Kiev. His preferred medium was oil, but he also painted miniatures and icons. Life and work Alexei was born to the family of a government official who worked in the Armory and in the "Канцелярия от строений" (Chancellory of Buildings). Beginning in 1732, Alexei worked at the Chancellory under his relative Andrey Matveyev. After 1739 he was a member of the "painting team" of the Chancellory under Ivan Vishnyakov. As a member of the team Alexei took part in the frescoing of the Summer Palace, Winter Palace, Anichkov Palace and other buildings of Saint Petersburg. Andrey Mikhaylovich Antropov (russian: Андрей Михайлович Антропов; born 21 May 1967) is a badminton player from Russia who represented the Soviet Union and Russian Federation at the European Badminton Championships and the Unified Team and Russia at the 1992 and 1996 Olympics, respectively. Antropov competed in badminton at the 1996 Summer Olympics in men's doubles with partner Nikolai Zuyev. They were defeated by Antonius Ariantho and Denny Kantono of Indonesia (15-5, 15-1) in the quarterfinals. Antropov earned the silver medal in the men's doubles with Zuyev at the 14th European Badminton Championships in Den Bosch, Netherlands, 10–17 April 1994. Egor Antropov (born May 8, 1992) is a Russian professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with Piráti Chomutov of the Czech Extraliga (ELH). Nikolai Alexandrovich Antropov (russian: Николай Александрович Антропов; born February 18, 1980) is a Kazakhstani-Canadian former professional ice hockey centre who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Atlanta Thrashers and Winnipeg Jets. He received Canadian citizenship in May 2007. Internationally Antropov played for Kazakhstan at several junior and senior tournaments, including the 2006 Winter Olympics.
