Antoniya Grigorova
Antonia Grigorova ( bg, Антония Григорова) (born December 7, 1986, in Varna) is a Bulgarian cross-country skier who has competed since 2004. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, she finished 60th in the 10 km and 62nd in the 15 km mixed pursuit event. Four years later, at the Sochi Olympics, she represented her country in the 15 km cross-country skiing, finishing in 56th place. The women's 15 kilometre skiathlon cross-country skiing competition at the 2014 Sochi Olympics took place at 14:00 ( MSK) on 8 February 2014 at Laura Biathlon & Ski Complex. The defending champion was Marit Bjørgen from Norway, who also became the 2014 Olympic champion. The 2010 silver medalist Anna Haag did not participate, and the 2010 bronze medalist, Justyna Kowalczyk, finished sixth. Charlotte Kalla from Sweden became the silver medalist, and Heidi Weng from Norway took bronze. A large group of skiers kept together at the classical part of the course, but in the free skiing part soon a group of five skiers took the lead. FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009
The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 ( cs, Mistrovství světa v klasickém lyžování Liberec 2009) took place 18 February – 1 March 2009 in Liberec, Czech Republic. This was the fourth time these championships were hosted either in the Czech Republic or in Czechoslovakia, having done so at Janské Lázně (1925) and Vysoké Tatry (in both 1935 and 1970). The biggest sports event in the country's history, it hosted 589 athletes from 61 countries. Women's ski jumping and Men's Nordic combined 10 km mass start events debuted at these championships, both won by Americans Lindsey Van and Todd Lodwick, respectively.
