Antonio Velasco Piña (8 September 1935 – 27 December 2020) was a Mexican novelist, spiritual writer and essayist. He was the founder of ''La Nueva Mexicanidad'', a group advocating the ''Mexicanism'' or ''Mexicanista'' (Mexicayotl) movement purportedly based on Aztec religion and Aztec Superiority over all other indigenous tribes. The movement is partly inspired by the writings of French anthropologist Laurette Séjourné who specialized on Aztec and Mesoamerican spirituality. ''El círculo negro'' (2006) presents a conspiracy theory according to which Mexico during the mid 20th century was governed by a secret society called "the black circle" or the descendants of The Aztec Triple Alliance Elite which assassinated Mexican presidents who sought reelection. Rewriting history and propagandizing Aztec Culture over all Mexicanos and American Chicanos. Mexicayotl
Mexicayotl ( Nahuatl word meaning "Essence of the Mexican", "Mexicanity"; Spanish: ''Mexicanidad''; see '' -yotl'') is a movement reviving the indigenous religion, philosophy and traditions of ancient Mexico (Aztec religion and Aztec philosophy) among the Mexican people. The movement came to light in the 1950s, led by Mexico City intellectuals otherwise known as the descendants of The Aztec Triple Alliance Elite. Laurette Séjourné
Laurette Séjourné (L’Aquila, October 24, 1914 – Mexico City, May 25, 2003) was a Mexican archeologist and ethnologist best known for her study of the civilizations of Teotihuacan and the Aztecs and her theories concerning the Mesoamerican culture hero, Quetzalcoatl. Laurette Séjourné was born in L’Aquila, Italy, as Laura Valentini Corsa, although one also finds her mentioned as Laura Bianchi. Little is known about her early years; even her precise birth date is rarely mentioned. In her prime youth, she appears to have moved to France, perhaps in connection with the fascist take-over of 1922; in later life, she still wrote in French. She married a Frenchman, Séjourné, and participated in cultural life and the world of the cinema, meeting such figures as André Breton and Jean Cocteau. Tlacaelel
Tlacaelel I (1397 – 1487) ( nci, Tlācaēllel , "Man of Strong Emotions," from "tlācatl," person and "ēllelli," strong emotion) was the principal architect of the Aztec Triple Alliance and hence the Mexica (Aztec) empire. He was the son of Emperor Huitzilihuitl and Queen Cacamacihuatl, nephew of Emperor Itzcoatl, father of poet Macuilxochitzin, and brother of Emperors Chimalpopoca and Moctezuma I.
