Antonio "Toñito" Soto Díaz (August 9, 1949 – January 4, 2016), commonly known as El Chuchín, was a Puerto Rican politician and former Senator. Early years and studies Antonio Soto Díaz was born on August 9, 1949, in Patillas, Puerto Rico Puerto Rico (; abbreviated PR; tnq, Boriken, ''Borinquen''), officially the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico ( es, link=yes, Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico, lit=Free Associated State of Puerto Rico), is a Caribbean island and Unincorporated .... He is the son of farmer Jesús Soto de Jesús and Juana Díaz Torres. He completed his elementary school at the Second Unit School of Pitahaya in Arroyo, Puerto Rico, Arroyo, and in 1967 graduated from Carmen Bozello de Huyke High School. That same year, he began his studies at the Guayama Catholic University, transferring to the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, Ponce campus later. Puerto Rico Senatorial District VI, also known as the Senatorial District of Guayama, is one of the eight senatorial districts of Puerto Rico. It is currently represented by Miguel Pereira Castillo and Angel M. Rodríguez (from the Popular Democratic Party). It covers the following municipalities: * Aibonito * Arroyo * Barranquitas * Cayey * Cidra * Coamo * Comerío * Corozal * Guayama * Naranjito * Orocovis * Salinas * Santa Isabel * Villalba * and some regions of Juana Díaz In previous distributions, the territory covered by the Senatorial District VI has changed.
