Antonio S. Luchetti
Antonio S. Lucchetti (20 January 1888 – 19 December 1958) was a Puerto Rican engineer and public servant, through whom comprehensive electric service was established in Puerto Rico via the Puerto Rico Water Resources Authority (PRWRA) and, later, via the public electric company, ''Fuentes Fluviales''. Lucchetti was instrumental in establishing the ''Utilización de las Fuentes Fluviales'' in Puerto Rico. ''Utilizacion'' was established to provide electric services not provided by private companies. Lucchetti observed that private companies operated inefficiently and, in 1937, worked for the government to acquire the first of the three electric companies operating in the Island, the Ponce Electric Co., and to build hydroelectric plants at Carite and Toro Negro. Operation Bootstrap
Operation Bootstrap ( es, Operación Manos a la Obra) is the name given to a series of projects which transformed the economy of Puerto Rico into an industrial and developed one. The federal government of the United States together with what is known today as the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company set forth a series of ambitious economical projects that evolved Puerto Rico into an industrial high-income territory. Yauco
Yauco () is a town and municipality in southern Puerto Rico. Although the downtown is inland, the municipality stretches to a southern coast facing the Caribbean Sea. Yauco is located south of Maricao, Lares and Adjuntas; east of Sabana Grande and Guánica; and west of Guayanilla. The municipality consists of 20 barrios and Yauco Pueblo (the downtown and administrative center of the municipality). It is both a principal town of the Yauco Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Ponce-Yauco-Coamo Combined Statistical Area. It was founded by Fernando Pacheco on February 29, 1756, and developed for commodity crops of tobacco, sugar cane, and coffee. Yauco became a center for Corsican immigration to Puerto Rico in the 19th century due to its geographical similarity to their homeland. Corsicans have contributed to many areas of life in Yauco, particularly to its coffee industry. Guy Judah (born ), known by his stage name Guy J, is an Israeli progressive house, techno and Electro (music), electro music producer and Disc jockey, DJ who has released three albums and over 15 EPs since 2008. His recordings are noted for their diverse and wide range of musical styles, while his DJ work is known for creating immersive "journey-like" live shows. In July 2012, he founded the Imprint (trade name), imprint record label Lost & Found, supported by the British DJ and producer John Digweed. Lost & Found serves as a vehicle both for his own work, and for producers he admires, including Sahar Z, Nick Muir, Roy Rosenfeld and Jamie Stevens. Blanton Winship
Blanton C. Winship (November 23, 1869 – October 9, 1947) was an American military lawyer and veteran of both the Spanish–American War and World War I. During his career, he served both as Judge Advocate General's Corps, U.S. Army, Judge Advocate General of the United States Army and as the governor of Puerto Rico. An investigation led by the United States Commission on Civil Rights blamed him for the Ponce massacre, which killed 21 people. Early life and education Blanton Winship was born in Macon, Georgia, and graduated from Mercer University in 1889. He received a law degree from the University of Georgia in 1893, where he also played football for one year. Career Military service During the Spanish–American War, Winship joined the 1st Georgia Infantry, a volunteer force.
