Antonio Maggi
Antonio Maggi (born 10 January 1932) is an Italian former tennis player active in the 1950s and 1960s. Maggi, a native of Milan, was a singles finalist at Cannes and the Riviera Championships. In 1957 he debuted for the Italy Davis Cup team in the Europe Zone quarter-finals against Poland, winning a singles rubber over Władysław Skonecki. He twice reached the singles third round of the French Championships, including in 1958 as one of four Italians to make the final 32. In 1958 he also had his best Wimbledon run, which ended in a third round loss to fourth-seed Neale Fraser. French Open
The French Open (french: Internationaux de France de tennis), also known as Roland-Garros (), is a major tennis tournament held over two weeks at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France, beginning in late May each year. The tournament and venue are named after the French aviator Roland Garros. Neale Fraser
Neale Andrew Fraser (born 3 October 1933) is a former number one amateur male tennis-player from Australia, born in Melbourne, Victoria, the son of a Victorian judge. Fraser is the last man to have completed the triple crown, i.e. having won the singles, doubles and mixed doubles titles at a Grand Slam tournament, which he managed on two consecutive occasions, in 1959 and 1960 (both times at US National, now known as US Open); no male player has equalled this feat at any Grand Slam tournament since. After his playing days were over, he was non-playing captain of Australia's Davis Cup team for a record 24 years. Biography He was the son of barrister and politician Archibald Fraser. Wladyslaw Skonecki (13 July 1920 – 12 June 1983) was a Polish tennis player. Career Skonecki was born in Tomsk, in the Soviet Union on 13 July 1920. He played his first tournament in 1945 at the Polish National Championships.
