Antonio Diaz Soto y Gama (23 January 1880 – 14 March 1967) was a Mexican politician and revolutionary during the Mexican Revolution. Biography He was born in San Luis Potosí to Conrado Díaz Soto y Gama and Concepción Cruz. He studied in San Luis Potosí, first at the Instituto de la Immaculada Concepción and later at the Instituto Literario. During the early 1900s he was associated with Ricardo Flores Magón's anarchist group Mexican Liberal Party (''Partido Liberal Mexicano-''), which was involved in strikes and uprisings in Mexico from 1906 to 1911. He was also active with the Magon brothers' newspaper ''El Hijo del Ahuizote''. Antonio Magsaysay Diaz (1927–2011) was a politician and lawyer. He was elected to the House of Representatives of the Philippines representing Zambales for three separate tenures – 1969 to 1972, 1992 to 2001, and 2004 until his death on August 3, 2011. Early life Diaz, a nephew of the late-president Ramon Magsaysay, member of the Magsaysay political clan of Zambales, was variously the vice governor and representative of the province since the 1960s. Diaz obtained a law degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1954. According to a statement from the family, Diaz gave the bulk of his pork barrel funds to his scholarship program which included the provision of tuition money and stipends to some 500,000 high school and college students not only in his district but in the entire province. Antonio Díaz-Miguel Sanz (July 6, 1933 – February 21, 2000) was a Spanish professional basketball player and coach. He studied in Madrid, and graduated from the University of Bilbao. A pioneer in the worldwide promotion of basketball, he won several coaching awards, and was a frequent basketball lecturer around the world. He was enshrined into the Basketball Hall of Fame, as a coach, on September 29, 1997. In 2007, he was enshrined into the FIBA Hall of Fame. Antonio Díaz Jurado (4 August 1969 – 27 April 2013) was a Spanish professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Born in Madrid, Díaz started playing with Real Madrid Castilla, moving in 1992 to neighbouring club Getafe CF. He started his professional career in 1994–95, helping UD Salamanca promote to La Liga in the playoffs. At the professional level, Díaz also represented CA Osasuna, Villarreal CF and SD Compostela, playing with all the clubs in Segunda División and the second in the top flight in the 1998–99 season. He made his debut in the latter competition on 31 August 1998, starting in a 1–4 away loss against Real Madrid. Díaz retired in June 2005 at nearly 36 after spells in the lower leagues, including the 2001–02 campaign with Granada CF in Segunda División B. He is best known for winning gold medals in kata at the World Championships in Serbia (2010) and France (2012), winning of the World Games in Cali, Colombia (2013), and Duisburg, Germany (2015), and a silver medal in the World Championships in Japan 2008.
