Antonio Andrușceac
Antonio Andrușceac (born 25 March 1967) is a Romanian politician. A member of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), he was elected member of the Chamber of Deputies in the 2020 parliamentary election. Antonio Andrușceac was a founding member of the Save Romania Union and a party member until he was excluded in 2020 for his socially conservative stances. Since 2020, he has served as a quaestor of the chamber. In the 2024 European Parliament election, he was a candidate for member of the European Parliament. The Chamber of Deputies () is the lower house in Romania's bicameral parliament. It has 312 regular seats to which deputies are elected by direct popular vote using party-list proportional representation to serve four-year terms. Additionally, the organisation of each national ethnic minority is entitled to a seat in the Chamber (under the limitation that a national minority is to be represented by one organisation only). Claudiu Richard Târziu (born 20 February 1973) is a Romanian right-wing politician and journalist. The 2024 European Parliament election in Romania was held on 9 June 2024. This was the fifth European Parliament election to be held in Romania since the country's accession to the European Union in 2007 and the first since Brexit. Voting procedure The 33 Romanian MEPs are elected by direct universal suffrage by all EU citizens registered on the electoral rolls and over 18 years of age. The ballot is held in a single electoral district on the basis of proportional representation, which means that the number of MPs elected from each political party depends on the number of votes obtained by the party.
