Antonia Prado
Antonia Prado is a Mexican former tennis player active in the 1960s. Prado, the women's singles champion at the 1962 Central American and Caribbean Games, represented Mexico at the 1963 Pan American Games in São Paulo. She fell in the quarter-finals to Maria Bueno, but made it as far as the bronze medal play-off in the women's doubles event. In 1964 she made her only appearance with the Mexico Federation Cup team The Mexico Billie Jean King Cup team represents Mexico in the Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Federación Mexicana de Tenis. The Central American and Caribbean Games (CAC or CACGs) are a multi-sport regional championship event, held quadrennial (once every four years), typically in the middle (even) year between Summer Olympics. The games are for countries in Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, and the South American Caribbean countries of Colombia, Guyana, Suriname, and Venezuela. The games are overseen by Centro Caribe Sports (''formerly CACSO''). They are designed to provide a step between sub-CACG-region Games held the first year following a Summer Olympics (e.g. Central American Games) and the Continental Championships, the Pan American Games, held the year before the Summer Olympics. The Czech Republic women's national tennis team is the representative national team of the Czech Republic in Billie Jean King Cup competition. The Czech Republic team in its current incarnation began competing in 1993.
