Frédéric Antonetti
Frédéric Antonetti (born 19 August 1961) is a French professional football manager and former player who was most recently the manager of French club Metz. He previously managed Bastia, Gamba Osaka, Saint-Étienne, Nice, Rennes and Lille. Early life Antonetti was born in Venzolasca, Haute-Corse. Managerial career Bastia Following the end of his career in 1990, Antonetti later began managing his former club, Corsican Division 1 side Bastia on youth level before taking charge of the senior team in 1994. In his four years at the club, he guided them to the Coupe de la Ligue final in 1995, losing 2–0 against Paris Saint-Germain. Gamba Osaka In May 1998, Antonetti moved abroad to Japan to become the new manager of J.League side Gamba Osaka. However, due to poor results, he was sacked in June 1999. Chris Antonetti is an American professional baseball executive, currently serving as the President of Baseball Operations for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB). Biography Antonetti is a graduate of Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge, Connecticut, Georgetown University, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He worked in the front office of the Montreal Expos in 1998. He has worked for the Cleveland Guardians franchise since 1999. Before the 2010 season, Executive VP/GM Mark Shapiro announced his promotion to team General Manager at season's end, with chairman/CEO Paul Dolan naming Antonetti as Shapiro's successor. Lorenzo Antonetti (31 July 1922 – 10 April 2013) was a Cardinal in the Catholic Church, who held several positions in the Vatican diplomatic service. Early life and ordination Antonetti was born on 31 July 1922 in Romagnano Sesia, Italy. On 26 May 1945, at the age of 22, Antonetti was ordained priest in Novara, Italy. He did pastoral ministry in diocese of Novara in 1946. He was sent to Rome for further studies from 1947 to 1951 at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, ''Angelicum'', where he obtained a doctorate in theology and later at the Pontifical Gregorian University also in Rome where he was awarded a doctorate in canon law. He was admitted to the elite Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy to study diplomacy.
