Anton Žlogar
Anton Žlogar (born 24 November 1977) is a retired Slovenian footballer who played as a midfielder. Playing career Žlogar played for Primorje, Gorica, Olimpija, Paralimni, Anorthosis Famagusta, AC Omonia, Alki Larnaca, and Kras Repen. He played for the Slovenia national football team and was a participant at Euro 2000. Coaching career On 25 November 2014, he became head coach of Kras. After the match against Gemonese (Gemonese won 2–1) on 13 March 2016, Žlogar resigned as head coach. Izola
Izola (; it, Isola ) is a town in southwestern Slovenia on the Adriatic Sea, Adriatic coast of the Slovenian Istria, Istrian peninsula. It is the seat of the Municipality of Izola. Its name originates from Italian language, Italian ''Isola'', which means 'island'. History An Ancient Rome, ancient Roman port and settlement known as Haliaetum stood to the southwest of the present town, next to the village of Jagodje, as early as the 2nd century BC. 2007–08 Cypriot First Division
The 2007-08 Cypriot First Division started on 1 September 2007. The defending champions were APOEL. This year, for the first time, the championship featured a group stage play-off system. Teams were divided into 3 groups; 1st-4th, 5th-8th and 9th-12th. The points were carried over from the first round. Anorthosis won the championship three games before the end of the season, without losing a single match. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 2007–08 Cypriot First Division. Each team played against every other team twice, once at home and once away, for a total of 26 matches. After these matches, the two teams with the worst records were relegated to the 2008–09 Cypriot Second Division. Cypriot First Division
The Cypriot First Division ( el, Πρωτάθλημα Α΄ Κατηγορίας) is the top tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Since February 2016, it is sponsored by Cyta and is thus officially known as the Cyta Championship. The league is contested by 14 teams and runs from August to May, with the three lowest-placed teams being relegated to the Cypriot Second Division, and replaced by the top three teams in that division. Slovenian Football Cup
The Slovenian Football Cup ( sl, Pokal Nogometne zveze Slovenije, ) is the top knockout tournament of Slovenian football and the second most important football competition in Slovenia after the Slovenian PrvaLiga championship. The cup was established in 1991 following the breakup of Yugoslavia. Since 2020, it has been known as Pokal Pivovarna Union after its headline sponsor, the Union Brewery. As of 2022, a total of 17 clubs have reached the cup final; the most successful side in the history of the competition is Maribor, who have triumphed 9 times in their 14 cup final appearances. They are followed by Olimpija and Koper, who both won four titles.
