Anton Kazakov (born 8 November 2004) is a Ukrainian professional snooker player. Kazakov turned professional in 2022 after winning the WSF Junior Championship and gained a two-year tour card for the 2022–23 and 2023–24 snooker seasons. The 2023 Northern Ireland Open (officially the 2023 BetVictor Northern Ireland Open) was a professional snooker tournament that took place from 22 to 29 October 2023 at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The 2023 WST Classic was a professional snooker tournament that took place from 16 to 22 March 2023 at the Morningside Arena in Leicester, England. It was the 13th ranking event of the 2022–23 season and the inaugural staging of the WST Classic, which the World Snooker Tour added to the calendar midway through the season to replace the cancelled 2023 Turkish Masters. The Six-red World Championship is a six-red snooker tournament, played with the six and six . Ding Junhui is the reigning champion. History The event was first held in the 2008/2009 season, and was known as the Six-red Snooker International. The event was organised by the Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports. Forty-eight players were divided in 8 round-robin groups. The top four from each group moved into the knock-out stage. In 2009 the event was renamed the Six-red World Grand Prix. The World Open is a professional ranking snooker tournament. Throughout its history, the tournament has undergone numerous revamps and name changes. It started out in 1982 as the ''Professional Players Tournament'', but for most of the 1980s and 1990s it was known as the ''Grand Prix''. It was renamed the '' LG Cup'' from 2001 to 2003 before reverting to the ''Grand Prix'' until 2010. Since then it has been known as the ''World Open''. During 2006 and 2007, it was played in a unique round-robin format, more similar to association football and rugby tournaments than the knock-out systems usually played in snooker. The Welsh Open is a professional ranking snooker tournament that has been held annually since 1992. It replaced the Welsh Professional Championship, which ran annually from 1980 to 1991 and was open only to Welsh players. The Welsh Open is now the longest running ranking event after the World Championship and the UK Championship. The Scottish Open is a ranking professional snooker tournament held in the United Kingdom. The tournament had many name changes in its history, as the tournament was formerly called International Open, Matchroom Trophy and Players Championship. Apart from a hiatus in the 1990/1991 and 1991/1992 seasons, the tournament remained a ranking event until 2003/2004.
