Antoine Cash
Antoine Cash (born March 5, 1982) is a former American football linebacker. He was signed by the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He played college football at Southern Miss. Early years Cash attended South Delta High School in Rolling Fork, Mississippi, and was a student and a letterman in football. In football, as a senior, he started as an outside linebacker and as a running back and rushed for 1,378 yards. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. ''The Clarion Ledger'' is an American daily newspaper in Jackson, Mississippi. It is the second-oldest company in the state of Mississippi, and is one of the few newspapers in the nation that continues to circulate statewide. It is an operating division of Gannett River States Publishing Corporation, owned by Gannett. History The paper traces its roots to ''The Eastern Clarion,'' founded in Jasper County, Mississippi, in 1837. Later that year, it was sold and moved to Meridian, Mississippi. After the American Civil War, it was moved to Jackson, the capital, and merged with ''The Standard''. It soon became known as ''The Clarion''. In 1888, ''The Clarion'' merged with the ''State Ledger'' and became known as the ''Daily Clarion-Ledger''. Four employees who were displaced by the merger founded their own newspaper, ''The Jackson Evening Post'', in 1892. Rolling Fork is a town in Sharkey County, Mississippi. The population was 1,883 as of the 2020 Census. It is the county seat of Sharkey County. History Thomas Y. Chaney located here in 1828, and was the first settler in the county. Deer Creek flows through the settlement, and Chaney called the place "Rolling Fork" because of the swiftness of the water at a fork in the creek there. A post office was established in 1848. When Sharkey County was established in 1876, Rolling Fork was made the county seat. A newspaper, ''The Deer Creek Pilot'', was established in 1884.
