Anticipate Recordings is an independent record label based in Manhattan founded by electronic music producer and performer Ezekiel Honig. Anticipate combines elements of electro-acoustics, ambient, slow motion techno, and found house with traces of filtered influences ranging from jazz, post rock, classical, dub, musique concrète, and minimalism. Ezekiel Honig
Ezekiel Honig, a New York City native, is a musician and label manager for Microcosm Music and Anticipate Recordings. He is a well-known figure in the electronic music community. Honig usually follows a strict production code on all of his songs. He uses 'found-sound' and warm melodies. Having put out two successful albums, ''Technology Is Lonely'' and ''People, Places & Things'', Honig collaborated with friend and fellow musician Morgan Packard on '' Early Morning Migration''. The album received praise from critics and was a highly successful album within the subgenre. Honig's fourth album, '' Scattered Practices'', was a departure from his earlier work. It was less techno, and more ambient. His most recent album, '' Surfaces of a Broken Marching Band'', was released by Anticipate on October 27, 2008. Released in 2009 by Anticipate Recordings, Acre Loss explores the artists' feelings of attachment to the land from which they came and will leave behind. Mark Templeton (born 1976) is a Canadian experimental electronic artist. Templeton's works are released by New York City record label Anticipate Recordings. Background Templeton utilizes acoustic instruments, found sounds and sampled material to construct textured, collage-like electronic compositions His style has been called ' glitchy', but also ' painterly', in an attempt to describe his deconstruction and crumbling of instruments' traditional voices. His works have been commissioned by organizations of contemporary dance, film and audiovisual disciplines. Kompakt (Labelcode: LC 12012) is a Cologne-based electronic music independent record label and vinyl/CD distributor, owned by Wolfgang Voigt, Michael Mayer (musician), Michael Mayer and Jürgen Paape. Sebastian Meissner
Sebastian Meissner (born 1969 in Częstochowa, Poland) is an artist, electronic musician, journalist, radio-producer and photographer. Under monikers such as ''Random Inc'', ''Random Industries'' and ''Bizz Circuits'' he released several albums for influential electronica label Mille Plateaux. He also composed music for German independent label Kompakt under the name ''Klimek''. Followed up by releases on New Yorker Anticipate Recordings and Belgian Sub Rosa label. He has collaborated with Ekkehard Ehlers under the name ''Autopoieses'' and with Israeli audio-visual artist Ran Slavin as ''b.Z_ToneR''. For his project ''Not By Note'' he received in 2011 an honorary mention in the category ''Digital Musics & Sound Art'' at Prix Ars Electronica.
