''Anthropophagous 2000'' is a 1999 German horror film directed by Andreas Schnaas Andreas Schnaas (born 1 April 1968) is a German director and actor working exclusively in the horror film, horror genre. Since he first appeared on the film scene in 1989, he has become a leader in Germany's ultra-violent German underground horr ... and written by Karl-Heinz Geisendorf. It is a remake of the 1980 film '' Antropophagus''. Plot Three Interpol agents meet at a cave where several corpses have been uncovered. While the other agents go for backup, Steven Bauers investigates the cavern, finding a journal under one of the bodies. Bauers skims through the journal, which tells the story of Nikos Karamanlis, beginning with him lost at sea with his daughter and pregnant wife. The film then shows a couple, Mary and Stuart, camping on a beach, where they are murdered by Nikos. Andreas Schnaas
Andreas Schnaas (born 1 April 1968) is a German director and actor working exclusively in the horror film, horror genre. Since he first appeared on the film scene in 1989, he has become a leader in Germany's ultra-violent German underground horror, low-budget horror film industry. He was the first in a series of maverick directors making underground movies who began a sustained revival of German horror cinema post World War II. Early life Schnaas was born in Hamburg and embraced cinema at a very young age. Since many of the local theaters in his city did not care about how young their patrons were, he was exposed to violent Martial arts film, martial arts, zombie films, and Splatter film, splatter very early on in his life. Schnaas' parents were not always pleased with his choice of entertainment, but recognized his artistic talents and vivid imagination.
