Anthony White (born April 23, 1954) better known by his ring name Tony Atlas is an American bodybuilder, powerlifter, and professional wrestler who has held multiple titles and championships in each sport. He is also known by his bodybuilding title, "Mr. USA" (a distinction he earned three times), the nom de guerre the "Black Superman", as well as an alter ego named Saba Simba. He returned as an on screen manager for WWE, appearing on its now-defunct ECW brand. He re-signed with WWE in a legends deal in mid-2012. Acoustic Alchemy is an English smooth jazz band formed in England in the early 1980s by Nick Webb and Simon James. 1981–1989: Early days Acoustic Alchemy was formed around the acoustic guitars of Simon James ( nylon string) and Nick Webb ( steel string), often backed up by double bass, percussion, and string quartet the Violettes. The band made two albums that were unprofitable. In the mid-1980s, James left, and in the 1990s he formed Kymaera, a similar, though more Latin oriented band. In 1985, Webb discovered Greg Carmichael, a guitarist with a London pub band called the Holloways (not affiliated with the indie band of the same name), who became James' successor. Anthony Wilbur White (20 November 1938 – 16 August 2023) was a West Indian cricketer who played in two Test matches in 1965. Tony White was a middle-order batsman and off-spinner who played for Barbados from 1958 to 1965–66. He toured England with the West Indian team in 1963 without playing in the Tests, joining the side midway through the tour as a back-up for the injured Willie Rodriguez. White played his two Tests against the Australians in 1964–65. In the First Test he top-scored with 57 not out in the first innings, after coming in with the score at 149 for 6 and taking the total to 239 all out. He also took three cheap wickets in a 179-run victory. But he failed to take a wicket off 52 overs in the drawn Second Test, scored only 7 and 4, and was replaced by Seymour Nurse for the Third Test. Anthony Whyte is an African-American writer of urban literature and hip-hop literature. Career Whyte began his writing career while still working for the New York City Administration for Children's Services. He began writing seriously when he became a member of The Tuesday Night Writers’ Workshop ran by Professor Sue Shapiro of the New York University School of Continuing Education, and within a year his first novel was published. Whyte grew up in The Bronx but also traveled and lived worldwide while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Today, he lives and writes in Inwood Neighborhood in upper Manhattan.
