Anthony Tonkin
Anthony Richard Tonkin (born 17 January 1980) is an English retired footballer who played as a defender. Career Born in Penzance, Cornwall, Tonkin began his career at Mousehole and Falmouth Town, where he finished as runners-up to Truro City in the South Western League in the 1997–98 season. His success with Falmouth attracted Yeovil Town, who signed him up in 1998, where he made 95 appearances and scored one goal in three years at the club. In 2002, he moved to Stockport County, where he spent a year before being transferred to Crewe Alexandra in August 2003 for a reported fee of £150,000. After more than 90 appearances in under three years, he was released and subsequently returned to Yeovil. On 2 March 2007, he joined Grays Athletic on loan for the remainder of the season. He was released by Yeovil upon his return in May 2007. The 2009–10 Football Conference season was the sixth season with the Football Conference consisting of three divisions, and the thirty-first season overall. The Conference covers the top two levels of Non-League football in England. The Conference Premier is the fifth highest level of the overall pyramid, whilst the Conference North and Conference South exist at the sixth level. The top team (Stevenage Borough) and the winner of the play-off (Oxford United) of the National division were promoted to Football League Two. The Football Association Challenge Trophy, commonly known as the FA Trophy, is a men's football knockout cup competition run by and named after the English Football Association and competed for primarily by semi-professional teams. Southern Football League
The Southern League is a men's football competition featuring semi-professional clubs from the South and Midlands of England. Together with the Isthmian League and the Northern Premier League it forms levels seven and eight of the English football league system.
