Anthony Ryan (born 7 April 1980) is an Australian bobsledder who has competed since 2009. He finished 22nd in the two-man event at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Anthony William Ryan is a United States banker who was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Markets from 2006 to 2008 and Acting Under Secretary of the Treasury for Domestic Finance from 2008 to 2009. Biography Anthony Ryan was educated at the University of Rochester, receiving a bachelor's degree in 1985, and the London School of Economics, receiving a master's degree in 1986. Ryan joined the Boston Company as a manager in 1987. The next year, he joined PanAgora Asset Management as a manager of Global Investments, working there until 1994. Anthony Ryan is a Scottish writer of fantasy and science fiction, best known for his books about Vaelin Al Sorna, which started in 2013 with ''Blood Song''. He worked as a full-time researcher before switching to full-time writing. He currently lives in London, England. He has a degree in Medieval History. Anthony Ryan (born 5 March 1969) is an Australian philanthropist and former athlete. Ryan is arguably best known for his charity work having served in various positions with organisations such as the Mimiko Foundation, the Edmund Rice Foundation and Youngcare. While a teacher at Brisbane's Nudgee College in 1999, he helped launch a mobile food van to serve the needs of the local homeless community. As CEO of the Edmund Rice Foundation, Ryan launched the 'Gone Fishing' initiative in 2013. A successful athletic runner in his youth, Ryan was a silver medallist at the 1988 World Junior Championships in Athletics in Canada. Life and career Ryan was born in Brisbane where he grew up. Thomas Anthony Ryan (2 February 1936 – 3 October 2007) was an Irish billionaire, philanthropist and businessman who co-founded the Ryanair airline. Through his establishment of Guinness Peat Aviation in 1975 he began a course of events which ultimately led to the development of the international aircraft leasing industry, although he was best known in the public mind as the founder of the eponymous Ryanair with Christopher Ryan and Liam Lonergan. Professor Anthony John Ryan (born 1962) is an English polymer chemist and sustainability leader at the University of Sheffield. He was Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university's Faculty of Science from 2008 until 2016, and is currently Director of the Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures. He delivered the 2002 Royal Institution Christmas Lectures and has appeared on programmes including the BBC Radio 4 comedy and popular science series ''The Infinite Monkey Cage''. He has collaborated on a range of arts and sciences projects with Professor Helen Storey from the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London. Education Ryan graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Polymer Science and Technology from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in 1983, and a PhD from the same institution in 1988 for research supervised by R. H. Still. He received a Doctor of Science (DSc) from UMIST in 2004.
