Anthony Bonner
Anthony Bonner (born June 8, 1968) is an American former professional basketball player. College career Bonner played college basketball at Saint Louis University. He is the Saint Louis Billikens' all-time leading scorer, with 1,972 points. Professional career Bonner was selected by the Sacramento Kings, in the first round (23rd overall pick) of the 1990 NBA draft. He played six seasons in the NBA, for the Kings, New York Knicks, and Orlando Magic. He averaged 6.9 points per game in his NBA career. In 2002, at the age of 34, he attempted an NBA comeback with the Utah Jazz. He was cut after playing in 4 preseason games. He also played in Europe for several notable teams, including PAOK in Greece and Virtus Bologna in Italy. Vashon High School
Vashon High School is a high school of the St. Louis Public Schools in St. Louis, Missouri. When it opened in 1927, it was the second high school for black students in St. Louis. History Designed by Rockwell M. Milligan, the school opened on September 11, 1927, and it was named in honor of two African-American educators: George Boyer Vashon, the first black graduate of Oberlin College, and his son, John Boyer Vashon. Located at 3026 Laclede Avenue, the school was built for slightly less than $1.2 million ($ today). Vashon was the second high school built for black students in the St. Louis Public Schools, after Sumner High School. Four members of the Vashon glee club created the popular singing group The Four Vagabonds in 1933. Capitanes De Arecibo
The Capitanes de Arecibo are a Puerto Rican professional basketball team based in Arecibo that competes in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) league. In 2010, the team also had the distinction to play in the Premier Basketball League (PBL) under the name Capitanes de Puerto Rico. The team began play in the league in 1946. Home games are held at Manuel Iguina Coliseum, which the team shares with the Capitanes de Arecibo men's volleyball team. The team has won eight BSN Championships (1959, 2005, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2016, 2018 and 2021) and has had a total 17 finals appearances, being a runner-up 9 times (1932, 1946, 1948, 1961, 1966, 1992, 2007, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017). The New York ''Daily News'', officially titled the ''Daily News'', is an American newspaper based in Jersey City, NJ. Assist (basketball)
In basketball, an assist is attributed to a player who passes the ball to a teammate in a way that leads directly to a score by field goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the basket. An assist is also credited when a basket is awarded due to defensive goaltending. There is some judgment involved in deciding whether a passer should be credited with an assist. In basketball, a rebound, sometimes colloquially referred to as a board, is a statistic awarded to a player who retrieves the ball after a missed field goal or free throw. Rebounds in basketball are a routine part in the game; if a shot is successfully made possession of the ball will change, otherwise the rebound allows the defensive team to take possession. Rebounds are also given to a player who tips in a missed shot on his team's offensive end. A rebound can be grabbed by either an offensive player or a defensive player. The CBA All-Star-Game was a basketball event organised by the CBA from 1979 until 2008. It started originally in 1949 as the EBA All-Star Game, and in 1971 it became the EPSBL All-Star Game, following the League's name changes. In 1979 CBA organised its first event under the CBA logo and it had been known as the CBA All-Star Classic. Overall, it predates the NBA All-Star Game by two years, as the latter took place for first time in 1951.The players who hold the record with the most CBA All-Star appearances since 1979 are former NBA star Tim Legler, Ronnie Fields and Claude Gregory who also had a brief NBA spell.
