Anthony Bell (director)
Anthony Bell (born 1970), sometimes known as Tony Bell, is an American animator, film director and screenwriter. After getting his start as a character layout artist and cleanup artist for ''The Simpsons'' in the early nineties, he got the opportunity to direct a number of episodes for the Nickelodeon hit, ''Rugrats''. Most recently, he has directed four episodes for the Adult Swim animated television series ''The Boondocks'', and directed the animated comedy-drama film, ''Alpha and Omega'', along with Ben Gluck. The film earned a cult following, despite its mixed-to-negative reaction. Anthony returned to co-direct its sequel '' Alpha and Omega 2: A Howl-iday Adventure'', after leaving the production of ''Norm of the North''. "Bart's Friend Falls in Love" is the twenty-third episode of the third season of the American animated television series ''The Simpsons'' (and the ''de facto'' season finale). It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on May 7, 1992. In the episode, Bart's best friend Milhouse falls in love with the new girl in school, Samantha Stanky. Milhouse and Samantha spend all their free time together, leaving Bart feeling jealous and excluded. To sabotage Milhouse and Samantha's relationship, Bart tells her strict father about it. Samantha is sent to an all-girls Catholic school as punishment, leaving Milhouse heartbroken. ''The Happy Prince and Other Tales'' (or ''Stories'') is a collection of stories for children by Oscar Wilde first published in May 1888. It contains five stories: "The Happy Prince", "The Nightingale and the Rose", "The Selfish Giant", "The Devoted Friend", and " The Remarkable Rocket". The Happy Prince In a town full of suffering poor people, a swallow who was left behind after his flock flew off to Egypt for the winter meets the statue of the late "Happy Prince", who has never experienced true sorrow, for he lived in a palace where sorrow was not allowed to enter. Viewing various scenes of people suffering in poverty from his tall monument, the Happy Prince asks the swallow to take the ruby from his hilt, the sapphires from his eyes, and the gold leaf covering his body to give to the poor. The "Town Musicians of Bremen" (german: link=no, Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten) is a German fairy tale collected by the Brothers Grimm and published in ''Grimms' Fairy Tales'' in 1819 (KHM 27). It tells the story of four aging domestic animals, who after a lifetime of hard work are neglected and mistreated by their former masters. Eventually, they decide to run away and become town musicians in the city of Bremen. Contrary to the story's title the characters never arrive in Bremen, as they succeed in tricking and scaring off a band of robbers, capturing their spoils, and moving into their house. "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves" ( ar, علي بابا والأربعون لصا) is a folk tale from the ''One Thousand and One Nights''. It was added to the collection in the 18th century by its French translator Antoine Galland, who heard it from Syrian storyteller Hanna Diyab. As one of the most popular ''Arabian Nights'' tales, it has been widely retold and performed in many media across the world, especially for children (for whom the more violent aspects of the story are often suppressed). The Three Little Pigs
"The Three Little Pigs" is a fable about three pigs who build three houses of different materials. A Big Bad Wolf blows down the first two pigs' houses which made of straw and sticks respectively, but is unable to destroy the third pig's house that made of bricks. The printed versions of this fable date back to the 1840s, but the story is thought to be much older. The earliest version takes place in Dartmoor with three pixies and a fox before its best known version appears in ''English Fairy Tales'' by Joseph Jacobs in 1890, with Jacobs crediting James Halliwell-Phillipps as the source. The phrases used in the story, and the various morals drawn from it, have become embedded in Western culture. "All Growed Up" is a special episode of ''Rugrats'' that aired on July 21, 2001 to celebrate the series' tenth anniversary. The special serves as the first two episodes of the eighth season of ''Rugrats'', and the 145th and 146th episodes of the series overall.
