Anthony Adur
Anthony Christopher Bahadur or Anthony Adur (born February 25, 1988) is a Canadian soccer player who played in the Canadian Soccer League, USL Premier Development League, S. League, Thai Premier League, National Premier Soccer League, and the North American Soccer League. Career Adur began playing in the Ontario Soccer League with Cruz Azul Shooters, where he received the OSL Provincial East U21 MVP award in 2006. As a result, he was called up to play in the Canadian Soccer League with Cruz Azul's parent club the Italia Shooters. In his debut season with Italia he won the CSL Championship by scoring the lone goal in a 1–0 victory over the Serbian White Eagles. In 2008, he signed with the Toronto Lynx of the USL Premier Development League. He played a total of 11 matches and recorded one goal. North American Soccer League (2011–2017)
The North American Soccer League (NASL) was a professional men's soccer league based in the United States. The league was named for, but had no connection to, the original North American Soccer League. The later NASL was founded in 2009, and began play in 2011 with eight teams. From 2013 through 2017, the NASL used a split-season schedule running from April to early November, with a four-week break in July. The spring and fall champions, along with the two teams with best combined spring/fall records met in a four-team single-elimination tournament known as ''The Championship''. The winner of the final claimed the Soccer Bowl trophy. Canadian Soccer League (2006–present)
The Canadian Soccer League (CSL; french: Ligue canadienne de soccer — LCS) is a semi-professional league for Canadian soccer clubs primarily located in the province of Ontario, and claims the history of the Canadian National Soccer League (CNSL). It is a Non-FIFA league previously sanctioned by the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA), but now affiliated with the Soccer Federation of Canada (SFC). As of 2022, it consists of six teams all located in Ontario. The season runs from May to October, with most games played on the weekend followed by a playoff format to determine the overall champion. CSL Championship
The Canadian Soccer League championship final or CSL Championship is the post-season match of the Canadian Soccer League (CSL) and is the successor to the CNSL Championship. The winner is crowned champion in the same manner as in other North American sports leagues (i.e. via a playoff following a regular season). This differs from other top soccer leagues around the world which consider the club with the most points at the end of the season to be the sole champion. It is a Non-FIFA championship match that was previously sanctioned by the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) but is now affiliated with the Soccer Federation of Canada (SFC). Hamilton City 1 Soccer Club was a Canadian soccer team founded in 2016 that played in the Canadian Soccer League, and played their home games at Cardinal Newman Secondary School multi-sport athletic field in the community of Stoney Creek, Hamilton. In 2021, they merged with fellow CSL club Brantford Galaxy to form BGH City FC. Milton SC is a Canadian soccer club formed in 2014. The team is currently a member of the Canadian Academy of Soccer League. Their home venue is located at Milton Community Sports Park in the town of Milton, Ontario. History In 2014, professional soccer returned to the town of Milton under a joint effort by Jasmin Halkic and his son Jasmin Halkic Jr. Milton entered the Second Division of the Canadian Soccer League. Murphy Wiredu (born January 15, 1985) is a Canadian former soccer player who played in the USL Premier Development League, Canadian Soccer League, and the S.League. Career He first played soccer at Monsignor Johnson Catholic High School in North York, where he was captain of the soccer team and also earned MVP honours for the volleyball team. In his youth years he played with CS Azzurri Hearts. In 2004, he received a scholarship to play for Saint Peter's College in Jersey City, New Jersey. In his freshman year he led the MAAC in goals with nine, and was named into conference All-Rookie team. In 2006, he was second in scoring for Saint Peters with 9 goals and 3 assists.
