The Jat people ((), ()) are a traditionally agricultural community in Northern India and Pakistan. Originally pastoralists in the lower Indus river-valley of Sindh, Jats migrated north into the Punjab region in late medieval times, and subsequently into the Delhi Territory, northeastern Rajputana, and the western Gangetic Plain in the 17th and 18th centuries. Róbert Antal (Former name: ''Róbert Adler'', July 21, 1921 – February 1, 1995) was a Hungarian water polo player who competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics. Antal, who was Jewish, was born in Budapest and died in Toronto, Canada. 1952 Olympics Antal was part of the Hungarian Water Polo team which won the gold medal in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. The victory was Hungary's third Olympic Gold medal title, and Hungary would prove to have a top rated National Water Polo Team. Antal played two matches. In the semi-final, Hungary beat the Soviet Union 6-4, the day after beating Egypt 9-0. A victory over the Soviet Team was noteworthy, as the Soviets had not been to an Olympics since the October Revolution of 1917, and their participation was carefully observed by the press. László Antal (25 June 1930 – January 1993) was a Hungarian linguist, structuralist, Doctor of Science (1981), and Professor of Linguistics. He was considered the sole representative of structural linguistics in America in Hungary. He adapted American structuralism to the Hungarian language. He was a lone wolf in Hungarian linguistics. Life Antal was born in Szob, Hungary. In 1962 he was awarded a Ford Scholarship to the United States in the academic years of 1964–1965. He was a visiting professor in Berlin between 1981 and 1986. He left Hungary first for Germany then for the United States in 1985 when he was appointed to the head of the General Linguistics Department in ELTE in Budapest. He settled in Manassas, Virginia. Károly Antal (23 June 1909 – 26 May 1994, in Budapest) was a twentieth century Hungarian sculptor. His sculptural style reflected neoclassicism style. Antal studied at the Academy of Fine Arts with István Szentgyörgyi between 1928 and 1937. He received a state scholarship in Rome in 1934–35 and he exhibited several times in Italy.
