Anson Allen
Anson Coleman Allen (February 25, 1838 – March 23, 1880) was an American businessman and politician. Born in Rochester, New York, Allen settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was in the transportation and forwarding business between the western and eastern sections of the United States. Wisconsin State Assembly
The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Representatives are elected for two-year terms, elected during the fall elections. If a vacancy occurs in an Assembly seat between elections, it may be filled only by a special election. The Wisconsin Constitution limits the size of the State Assembly to between 54 and 100 members inclusive.
