Derrick Ansley
Derrick Ansley (born December 11, 1981) is an American football coach and former player who is the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He was previously the defensive coordinator at Tennessee. He played safety at Troy from 2001-2004 before starting his coaching career at Huntingdon, a Division-III school in 2005. Playing career Ansley played high school football at Tallassee High School, where he was an All-State honorable mention in 1998 and an All-State recipient in 1999. He played college football at Troy, where he started 40 consecutive games and had 19 interceptions in his career. He is tied for second-most interceptions in Troy history. Giselle Anne Ansley, (born 31 March 1992) is an English field hockey player who plays as a defender in the Dutch Hoofdklasse for HGC and the England and Great Britain national teams. Ansley was educated at Churston Ferrers Grammar School, Brixham, Devon. She was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to hockey. John Ansley (1774 – 23 September 1845) served as Lord Mayor of London from 1807 to 1808. Ansley was a Merchant Taylor. Josh Ansley
Joshua David Ansley was the bass player for the band HURT and the ska bands Catch 22 and Streetlight Manifesto. Raised in Old Bridge Township, New Jersey, United States, Ansley was a Ford model and an actor as a tween/preteen. He was in Social Butterfly, an alternative band that also featured future HURT guitarist and bandmate Paul Spatola. Then he joined the pop-punk band The Youth Ahead before graduating high school and eventually joined the influential ska-punk group Catch 22. Josh went to Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University to study acting and also attended the London Academy of Theatre at The Globe. While in London he wrote a play in Iambic Pentameter called ''Cirque de Lumiere'' which he later produced back at home. He took off a year of school to tour with the band Catch 22. Mary Anne Ansley, née Gaudon (fl. 1810–1840) was a British artist known for her depiction of mythological subjects and for her portrait paintings. Biography Ansley was the daughter of an architect and married a British Army officer, a Colonel Ansley. Between 1814 and 1833 she exhibited some twenty-two works at the Royal Academy. Some twenty-one pieces by her were also shown at the British Institution in London between 1812 and 1823. She was also a regular exhibitor at the Suffolk Street gallery of the Royal Society of British Artists. In 1833 Ansley painted a portrait of Prince Louis Napoleon Bonaparte for which the Prince sat for her in London. Ronald Earl Ansley (March 20, 1908 – December 6, 1965) was a provincial politician from Alberta, Canada. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1935 to 1963 sitting with the Social Credit caucus in government and as an Independent. Political career Ansley ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature as a Social Credit candidate in the electoral district of Leduc in the 1935 Alberta general election. He defeated incumbent Arthur Mitchell and two other candidates by a wide majority to pick up the seat for his party. Ansley ran for re-election in the 1940 Alberta general election. He faced two other challenging candidates. Despite losing some of his popular vote from the 1935 election Ansley easily held his seat. Sam Ansley (born c. 1959) is a former American football player. He started two games as quarterback for the Texas Longhorns in 1977. When the 1977 season started he was the 4th string quarterback, but injuries to all three of the quarterbacks ahead of him led to him starting the two games at the end of the regular season. At the time Texas was undefeated, ranked #1 and playing for the national championship. They won both games.
