Ansis Bērziņš
Ansis Bērziņš (16 February 1940 – 14 September 2021) was a Latvian film producer and director, known as one of the first animation film producers of Latvia. Together with the director Roze Stiebra, Bērziņš was awarded the Latvian film prize Lielais Kristaps The Big Christopher ( lv, Lielais Kristaps) is the highest award in Latvian cinema. Established in 1977, it is given out at the ''Latvian National Film Festival''. Public Broadcasting Of Latvia
Public Broadcasting of Latvia ( lv, Latvijas sabiedriskais medijs, lit=Latvian Public Media – LSM) is a publicly funded radio and television organization operated by both of Latvia's public broadcasters – Latvian Television and Radio Latvia. LSM provides news, analysis, culture, entertainment and new experimental content, produced mainly by Latvian Television and Radio Latvia, and by the portal’s editorial personnel. The site was launched on 3 February 2013. LSM content is also available in Russian and English. News content in English was made available from 1 July 2014. A unified news portal was one of the steps planned in a much wider convergence of both public broadcasters. In 2012, Latvia’s National Electronic Media Council (NEMC) approved the concept of creating a new Latvian public service media organization. Roze Stiebra
Roze Stiebra (born Rozālija Stiebra on 17 March 1942) is a Latvian animator. Biography Roze Stiebra was born on 17 March 1942 in Riga. She graduated from the Faculty of Puppetry at the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy in 1964, and went on to work as an animator for Latvian Television (studio Telefilm-Riga 1966–1987), Riga Film Studio (1987–1990) and the animation studio Dauka (since 1991)). She has received the Lielais Kristaps award for "best animated film" six times, for her films ''Kā es braucu Ziemeļmeitas lūkoties'' (1980), ''Kabata'' (1983), ''Skatāmpanti'' (1988), ''Ness un Nesija'' (1993), ''Pasaciņas. Miega vilcieniņš'' (1998), and '' The Unusual Rigans'' (2001). She is a member of the International Animated Film Association. In 1995, she was honored with the Spīdolas Award, the highest award of the Latvian Culture Foundation. In 2005, Stiebra received the Order of the Three Stars. Lielais Kristaps
The Big Christopher ( lv, Lielais Kristaps) is the highest award in Latvian cinema. Established in 1977, it is given out at the ''Latvian National Film Festival''. Due to different reasons, the festival has not been held in 1992, from 1994 to 1995, 1997 and 1999 and held biannually from 2001 to 2009 with no festival in 2010, 2011 and 2013.
