Anonas Station (Line 2)
Anonas station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 2. It is located in Cubao in Quezon City and is named because of its location near Anonas Street. The station is the ninth station for trains headed to Antipolo and the fifth station for trains headed to Recto. Anonas station was temporarily closed due to a fire which affected two rectifiers of the train line between Anonas and Katipunan stations on October 3, 2019. The station was reopened on January 22, 2021 after repairs to the rectifiers were completed. Aurora Boulevard
Aurora Boulevard is a four-to-ten lane major thoroughfare in Quezon City and San Juan in Metro Manila, Philippines. It was named after Doña Aurora Quezon, the consort of Commonwealth President Manuel Luis Quezon. It is one of the major roads in the commercial district of Araneta City in Cubao. Line 2 follows the alignment of the boulevard. Route description Aurora Boulevard is divided into two routes, the Araneta Avenue to EDSA, and EDSA to Katipunan Avenue ( C-5). Antipolo Station
Antipolo station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 2. Located in Antipolo, Rizal, is the eastern terminus of the line. It opened on July 5, 2021 and is the line's easternmost station, located on the stretch of Marikina–Infanta Highway near the intersection of Sumulong Highway. It is the first Manila LRT System station outside Metro Manila to be operational. Manila Light Rail Transit System Line 2
The Light Rail Transit Line 2, also known as LRT Line 2 (LRT-2) or Megatren, is a rapid transit line in Metro Manila in the Philippines, generally running in an east–west direction along the Radial Road 6 and a portion of the Circumferential Road 1, referred to as the Purple Line, and previously known as the Mass Rapid Transit Line 2 or MRT Line 2 (MRT-2). Although the line is operated by the Light Rail Transit Authority, resulting in it being called as "LRT-2", it is actually a heavy rail, rapid transit line. Jeepney
Jeepneys (), sometimes called jeeps (), are minibus-like public utility vehicles, serving as the most popular means of public transportation in the Philippines. They are known for their crowded seating and kitsch decorations, which have become a widespread symbol of Philippine culture and art. A Sarao jeepney was exhibited at the Philippine pavilion at the 1964 New York World's Fair as a national image for the Filipinos. Jeepneys originate from the American colonial period share taxis known as auto calesas, commonly shortened to "AC". Recto station (also known as Recto Terminal station) is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 2. Located on Recto Avenue at the district boundary of Santa Cruz and Quiapo in Manila, it is the western terminus of the line.
