Anoa'i Family
The Anoaʻi family ( ) is a family of professional wrestlers originating from American Samoa. Family members have comprised several tag teams and stables within a variety of promotions. Famous members of the family include Rosey, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, Umaga, WWE Hall of Famer Yokozuna, Roman Reigns, The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso), Solo Sikoa, and WWE Hall of Fame brothers the Wild Samoans ( Afa and Sika Anoaʻi). Peter Maivia and his grandson Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are considered Legend members. Reverend Amituana'i Anoaʻi and Peter Maivia were blood brothers, a connection that continued with Afa and Sika, who regard Peter as their uncle. Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. The mock combat is performed in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing, and the dramatic aspects of pro wrestling may be performed both in the ring or—as in televised wrestling shows—in backstage areas of the venue, in similar form to reality television. Professional wrestling as a form of theater evolved out of the widespread practice of match fixing among wrestlers in the early 20th century. Lia Maivia
Ofelia Maivia (born Ofelia Fuataga; August 6, 1927 – October 19, 2008) was a Samoan professional wrestling promoter. Maivia was the wife of Samoan professional wrestler Peter Maivia and the grandmother of actor and wrestler, Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock. Professional wrestling career Maivia took over the Polynesian Pro Wrestling (PPW), a territory of the National Wrestling Alliance in Hawaii, following the death of her husband, "High Chief" Peter Maivia, in 1982. She became one of wrestling's first female promoters. In the mid-1980s, her promotion ran a show called ''Polynesian Pacific Pro Wrestling'' on the Financial News Network. Tanoai Reed
Tanoai Reed (born February 10, 1974) is an American stuntman and actor. He is the cousin and stunt double of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Reed was born in Honolulu, Hawaii of Samoan and Norwegian, Swedish, Irish descent. After the separation of his parents he grew up in California before being sent to live with his grandmother in Hawaii. He was educated at Kahuku High School and the University of Hawai‘i. His stunt career began when he worked on Waterworld, and he began working as stunt-double for the Rock on The Scorpion King. Lance Anoa'i is a professional wrestler who currently wrestles for Major League Wrestling (MLW) under his real name, and is the current MLW World Tag Team Champion, in his first reign. He is a member of the Anoaʻi family. Early life His father is Samu, who competed in the World Wrestling Federation as a member of The Wild Samoans and The Headshrinkers. Jacob Fatu is an American professional wrestler currently signed to Major League Wrestling. He is a former one-time MLW World Heavyweight Champion and his reign is the longest in the title's history at 819 days. He also performs on the independent circuit. Gary Albright
Gary Mitchell Albright (May 18, 1963 – January 7, 2000) was an American professional wrestler best known for his work in Japan, first with UWF International (UWFi), and later All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW). In AJPW, Albright was a two-time World Tag Team Champion. Albright was also known for his work with Stampede Wrestling in Canada, under his birth name as well as the ring name Vokhan Singh. An accomplished amateur wrestler, Albright translated this into his professional wrestling style, utilising many suplexes and throws throughout his career, earning the nickname "Master of Suplex". Albright was a member through marriage of the famous Anoaʻi wrestling family. His widow, Monica, is the daughter of Afa Anoaʻi.
