Annæus Schjødt
Annæus Schjødt (7 March 1888 – 12 October 1972) was a Norway, Norwegian lawyer. He is best known as the prosecutor of Vidkun Quisling. Personal life He was born in Oslo, Kristiania as a son of Attorney General Annæus J. Schjødt, Annæus Johannes Schjødt (1857–1923) and Laura Marie Rømcke (1860–1893). In October 1914 he married Hedevig Petersen (1892–1966). The two were the parents of Annæus Schjødt Jr. and Karen Hedevig Schjødt, who married chief physician Thorstein Guthe. Career He took the examen artium in 1907 and the cand.jur. degree in 1911. He worked in Hadeland and Land District Court from 1913 to 1914. He was a junior solicitor in the law firm Bredal, Christiansen & Fougner from 1914, and lawyer from 1917 to 1920. He started his own firm in 1936. Norwegian Legation In Stockholm
The Norwegian Legation in Stockholm played a significant role during the Second World War. Until 9 April 1940 the legation consisted of four persons, and at the end of the war about 1,100 persons were connected to the legation. Refugee cases were among the legation's most central tasks. In 1941 a Military office was established, and this was later split into separate offices for intelligence ( XU related cases), and for Milorg related cases. Management The legation was led by minister Johan Wollebæk from 1921 until his death in October 1940. In 1940 Jens Bull took over as chargé d'affaires, and recognized as minister by the Swedish authorities from 1942. Government representatives in Stockholm during parts of the Second World War were Anders Frihagen and Johan Ludwig Mowinckel. Important monetary loans to the Norwegian home front was handled by contact between Frihagen and Mowinckel in Stockholm, and people like Tor Skjønsberg and Øystein Thommessen in Norway. Thorstein Guthe
Thorstein Guthe (25 April 1912 – 24 June 1994) was a Norwegian physician and fencer. Personal life and early career He was born in Kristiania as a son of tailor Hans O. Guthe (1869–1929) and Hilda Kathrine Helgesen (1876–1950). In 1939, he married Laura Friele Joys, a daughter of Einar Joys. In 1950 he married Karen Hedevig Schjødt, a daughter of Annæus Schjødt, granddaughter of Annæus J. Schjødt and sister of Annæus Schjødt, Jr. He competed in the team foil and individual épée events at the 1936 Summer Olympics. He finished his secondary education in 1930. After studies in bacteriology in London from 1933 to 1934 and Paris from 1934 to 1935, he took the cand.med. degree at the University of Oslo in 1939. He then studied internal medicine at the University of Minnesota from 1939 to 1940. Axel Heiberg Stang
Axel Heiberg Stang (21 February 1904 – 11 November 1974) was a Norwegian landowner and forester who served as a councillor of state, and later a minister, in the Nasjonal Samling government of Vidkun Quisling. Early life and career He was born in Kristiania into two of Norway's most wealthy and politically-influential families, with large estates. His father Ole A. Stang was a businessman and landowner, while his mother Emma Heiberg was a trusted confidante and mistress of Queen Maud. His brother was Thomas Stang, and thus Axel was brother-in-law to actress Wenche Foss and uncle to the former mayor of Oslo Fabian Stang.
