''Anny – Story of a Prostitute'' ( no, Anny – en gatepiges roman}) is a 1912 Norwegian drama film written and directed by Adam Eriksen, starring Julie Jansen-Fuhr and Johan Andersson. Plot Factory girl Anny (Jansen-Fuhr) gets involved with an older merchant, and then develops a plot to defraud him with his son. The two are caught and decide to escape to America, but the son then tries to take his own life with poison. He survives and is forgiven, while Anny descends further into poverty and desperation. Adam Eriksen
Adam Emanuel Eriksen (September 17, 1852 – July 19, 1931) was a Norwegian painter, photographer, film director, and screenwriter. Family Eriksen was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), the son of the watchmaker Henrik Erichsen (1825–1870) and Emilie Kathrine Christoffersen (1825–1902). He was the brother of the politician, newspaper editor, and writer Alfred Eriksen and the uncle of the journalist and author Solvejg Eriksen. He married Olea Pedersen in 1880. Career For a while, Eriksen operated the Cordial Cinema in Kristiania (now Oslo). In 1912 he directed the film ''Anny – en gatepiges roman'', which he also wrote the screenplay for. This was his only film. Eriksen died in Stabekk in 1931, and he was buried at Our Savior's Cemetery in Oslo. Betzy Holter
Betzy Marie Holter (née Jordal, May 28, 1893 – November 9, 1979) was a Norwegian actress. Holter made her stage debut in 1913 as Randi in Olav Hoprekstad's ''Bjørnefjell'', one of the opening performances at the Norwegian Theater. She had a number of major roles at the theater in the years that followed, such as Milja in Oskar Braaten's ''Ungen'' and Klara Gullborg in a stage version of Selma Lagerlöf's '' Kejsarn av Portugallien''. Between her successes in the capital, she also made some guest appearances in Trondheim and Stavanger. Jens Holstad (January 30, 1889 – October 6, 1961) was a Norwegian actor. Holstad was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), and he made his stage debut in 1906 at the Fahlstrøm Theater. He made his film debut in 1912 in Adam Eriksen's film '' Anny – en gatepiges roman''. He was most active in the 1930s and 1940s, and he appeared in a total of twelve film roles, with his last in ''Ti gutter og en gjente'' in 1944. Alongside films, Holstad was also active in theater, where he was involved with the New Theater from the 1920s to the 1950s. He also performed at the National Theater in Oslo. Holstad also recorded gramophone records.
