Annika Kjærgaard
Annika Eva Ingegerd Kjærgaard ''(originally Johansson)'' (born 18 May 1971) is a Swedish singer and former member of the Swedish pop group, Alcazar. Career Kjærgaard was born in Hässleholm, Sweden. Mostly known as ''Annikafiore'' in Alcazar, she quit the group in 2007, leaving a spot open for Lina Hedlund. Magnus Carlsson also left during that time. However Therese Merkel and Andreas Lundstedt stayed and continued with the Alcazar project. In 2009, Annikafiore formed a new group called Avatar versus Eve (A.v. E). Their first single "Party People" came with six different versions, including a remix by the internationally known SoundFactory. Hässleholm
Hässleholm (older da, Hasselholm) is a locality and the seat of Hässleholm Municipality, Scania County, Sweden with 18,500 inhabitants in 2010. Overview Hässleholm was gradually developed from 1860 in connection with the construction of the main Stockholm to Malmö railway line. There was no settlement on the spot before the arrival of the railway. The station got its name from a manor situated in the vicinity of a planned railway junction. It gained the city title in 1914 and was then classified as one of Sweden's smallest cities. During the 20th century, it developed into a military hub. After the end of the cold war, most of the military establishments were disbanded or moved to other locations. In 2000, Hässleholm's Cultural Center ("kulturhus") was opened. Alcazar (band)
Alcazar is a Swedish nu-disco group. Alcazar is one of Sweden's most successful music groups both nationally and internationally with a string of hits since their debut single in 1999. Worldwide, Alcazar sold over 12 million records between 2001 and 2004. Alcazar also had success globally in 2000 with their song "Crying at the Discoteque", having charted in USA, Brazil, Australia, Japan and most countries in Europe. Alcazar disbanded in August 2011 after a concert at Stockholm Pride. They reunited again in 2013 ahead of Melodifestivalen 2014. Lina Maria Hedlund (born 28 March 1978) is a Swedish singer and member of the pop group Alcazar (band), Alcazar. She also has a solo career. Career Hedlund was born in Bollnäs. She has participated in Melodifestivalen a number of times, in Melodifestivalen 2002 along with her sister, singer Hanna Hedlund with the song "Big Time Party", in Melodifestivalen 2003 as a solo singer, and in Melodifestivalen 2009, Melodifestivalen 2010, 2010 and Melodifestivalen 2014, 2014 as a member of the pop trio Alcazar. Magnus Carlsson
Lars Magnus Carlsson (born 24 June 1974) is a Swedish singer and former member of the bands Alcazar and Barbados as well as a solo performer. Early life Magnus Carlsson was born in Borås and grew up in Fristad. He attended comprehensive upper secondary school for two years with a focus on musical training, and four further years at the Faculty of Arts in Gothenburg University, where he studied to be a music and song/voice teacher. In 1992, Carlsson joined Swedish dansband Barbados. He left in 2002 and on 13 December 2002 he officially joined the pop-dance group Alcazar. On 24 January 2003, he performed his last concert with Barbados. Eva Therese Margaretha Merkel also known as "Tess Merkel" (born 18 April 1970) is a Swedish singer and songwriter who is one of the original members of the pop group Alcazar. Career Merkel was born in Nyköping, Sweden. She started her career in a number of musicals and soon landed the job as a showgirl at Wallmans salonger in 1991. Björn Helge Andreas Lundstedt (born 20 May 1972) is a Swedish singer, best known as a member of the pop-dance group Alcazar. Biography Born in Uppsala, Sweden, since childhood, Lundstedt had wanted to be a singer. At the age of five, he took part in a talent competition for children and achieved second place. Copenhagen Pride is Denmark's largest annual Human Rights festival, focused on LGBT issues. It involves the entire capital Copenhagen and is held in August.
