Annie Caputo
Annie Caputo is an American political advisor and government official. She most recently served as a member of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission a five-year term that expired on June 30, 2021. She was formerly a senior policy advisor for Chairman John Barrasso (R-WY) on the United States Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Career Caputo began her career as an executive assistant and congressional affairs manager for nuclear power plant operator Exelon. From 2005 to 2006 and again from 2012 to 2015, Caputo worked for the United States House Committee on Energy and Commerce, where she handled nuclear energy issues. Nuclear Regulatory Commission
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is an independent agency of the United States government tasked with protecting public health and safety related to nuclear energy. Established by the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974, the NRC began operations on January 19, 1975, as one of two successor agencies to the United States Atomic Energy Commission. Its functions include overseeing reactor safety and security, administering reactor licensing and renewal, licensing radioactive materials, radionuclide safety, and managing the storage, security, recycling, and disposal of spent fuel. James Mountain Inhofe ( ; born November 17, 1934) is an American politician serving as the senior United States senator from Oklahoma, a seat he was first elected to in 1994. A member of the Republican Party, he chaired the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW) from 2003 to 2007 and again from 2015 to 2017.
