Anni Keisala
Anni Keisala (born 5 April 1997) is a Finnish ice hockey goaltender and member of the Finland women's national ice hockey team, Finnish national team, currently signed with HV71 Dam of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) for the 2022–23 SDHL season, 2022–23 season. Playing career Keisala made her senior club debut at age 13 as the third goaltender and an occasional Forward (ice hockey), forward on the women's representative team of Lohjan Kisa-Veikot (LoKV) in the 2010–11 Naisten SM-sarja season, 2010–11 season of the Naisten SM-sarja (NSMs; renamed Naisten Liiga (NSML) in 2017). In the following season, the role of starting netminder fell on fourteen-year-old Keisala after the starter and backup goalies from the previous season left LoKV for other NSMs teams. 2022–23 SDHL Season
The 2022–23 SDHL season was the sixteenth ice hockey season of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). The season began on 16 September 2022 and concluded on 26 February 2023. Göteborg HC withdrew from the league on 2 November 2022, reducing the number of teams to nine for the remainder of the regular season. The playoffs began on 1 March and concluded on 20 March 2023. Luleå HF/MSSK swept Brynäs IF Dam in the playoff finals to claim the club's sixth Swedish Championship title. Teams All ten teams from the 2021–22 SDHL season returned for the 2022–23 season. The 2020–21 Naisten Liiga season was the thirty-eighth season of the Naisten Liiga, Finland's elite women's ice hockey league, since the league’s creation in 1982. Tuula Puputti Award
The Tuula Puputti Award () is an ice hockey trophy awarded seasonally by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association to the best goaltender of the Naisten Liiga and its predecessor, the Naisten SM-sarja. It is named after Tuula Puputti, the first Olympic goaltender of the Finnish women's national team and current general manager of the Finnish women's national ice hockey program. Best goaltender in the Naisten SM-saija was first awarded in the 2005–06 season, to Maija Hassinen-Sullanmaa of Ilves Naiset. The award was named in honor of Tuula Puputti during the 2010–11 season. Only three players have won the award more than once: Meeri Räisänen, Maija Hassinen-Sullanmaa, and Anni Keisala, and both Hassinen-Sullanmaa and Keisala hold the record for most wins, with four each. Save percentage (often known by such symbols as SV%, SVS%, SVP, PCT) is a statistic in various goal-scoring sports that track saves as a statistic. In ice hockey and lacrosse, it is a statistic that represents the percentage of shots on goal a goaltender stops. It is calculated by dividing the number of saves by the total number of shots on goal. Although the statistic is called a "percentage", it is often given as a decimal, in the same way as a batting average in baseball. Thus, .933 means a goaltender saved 93.3 percent of all shots they faced. In international ice hockey, a save percentage is expressed as a true percentage, such as 90%. The Finnish Ice Hockey Association ( fi, Suomen Jääkiekkoliitto, sv, Finlands Ishockeyförbund) is the governing body of ice hockey in Finland. Junior hockey is a level of competitive ice hockey generally for players between 16 and 21 years of age. The Naisten Suomi-sarja (), distinguished as the Jääkiekon naisten Suomi-sarja (), is the third-tier women's ice hockey league in Finland. It was established by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association in 2003 and is the lowest tier of national ice hockey competition, below the premier Naisten Liiga and secondary Naisten Mestis, but above regional leagues (). Season format 2023–24 season Beginning in the 2023–24 season, the Naisten Mestis adopted the ten team, 36-game format used by the Naisten Liiga. Naisten Mestis (; from ''Mestaruussarja'' meaning 'Championship series') is the second-highest women's ice hockey league in Finland. The league was founded as Naisten I-divisioona (Women's First Division) in 1985 by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association when the number of teams playing in the Naisten SM-sarja (now 'Naisten Liiga') was limited. It was renamed Naisten Mestis prior to the 2012-13 season. Series format The Mestis season format has changed many times since the founding of the league in 1985.
