Annex, Oregon
Annex is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Malheur County, Oregon, United States. Its population was 235 as of the 2010 census. The community is located on the south bank of the Snake River across from Weiser, Idaho; a bridge carrying U.S. Route 95 Spur connects the two. Geography According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the community has an area of , all of it land. Demographics Education Annex is within the Annex School District 29. It operates a K-8 school called the Annex Charter School. In 1967 the Annex School was having a new building established. students who graduate from Annex attend Weiser High School, of the Weiser School District, in Weiser, Idaho. In 1958, there were 46 students at Weiser High who lived in Annex. Treasure Valley Community College
Treasure Valley Community College is a public community college in Ontario, Oregon, at the western edge of the Treasure Valley. Its service area is sections of Malheur and Baker counties. Additionally Harney County and the city of Burns have "contract out of district"s (COD) with TVCC. History Treasure Valley Community College opened in 1962 with afternoon and evening classes at Ontario High School. The Idaho Statesman
The ''Idaho Statesman'' is the daily newspaper of Boise, Idaho, in the western United States. It is owned by The McClatchy Company. History The paper was first published as the ''Idaho Tri-Weekly Statesman'' on July 26, 1864, by James S. Reynolds; it began publication from a log cabin on the current site of Boise City Hall. Reynolds owned and operated the paper for its first eight years, selling to Judge Milton Kelly in 1872. Kelly's 17-year run ended in 1888, with the expansion to daily publication, and a name change: The ''Idaho Daily Statesman''. That summer, Kelly sold the paper to the Cobb family, which went on to run the paper for 70 years. Weiser High School is the only high school in Weiser, Idaho. In 2006, it had an enrollment of 514 in grades 9–12.
