The Miss North Dakota competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of North Dakota in the Miss America pageant. The first Miss North Dakota to compete at Miss America was Kitty Page in 1949. In 2017, Cara Mund became the first North Dakotan to win the Miss America title, when she won the Miss America 2018 pageant. Sidni Kast of Minot was crowned Miss North Dakota on June 11, 2022, at Bakken Auditorium in Williston, North Dakota. She competed for the title of Miss America 2023 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut in December 2022. Miss USA
Miss USA is an American beauty pageant that has been held annually since 1952 to select the entrant from United States in the Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe Organization operated both pageants, as well as Miss Teen USA, until 2020, when the organization announced it was licensing operation of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants to Crystle Stewart, Miss USA for 2008. The pageant was owned by Donald Trump from 1996 to 2015 and was previously broadcast on NBC. In September 2015, WME/IMG purchased the pageant from Trump. In 2020, for the first time, the FYI network broadcast the competition. In October 2022, JKN Global Group acquired the pageant from WME/IMG. Miss America 2019
The Miss America 2019 pageant/competition was the 92nd Miss America pageant, though the Miss America Organization celebrated its 98th anniversary in 2018. This discrepancy is due to national pageants not being held from 1928–1932 or in 1934 because of financial problems associated with the Great Depression. The 2019 competition was held in Atlantic City, New Jersey. On May 23, 2018, it was announced that the pageant would air live on ABC on Sunday, September 9, 2018. This was the last Miss America to be aired on ABC before would be moving to NBC beginning from 2020 pageant. ''Jekyll & Hyde'' is a 1990 musical loosely based on the 1886 novella ''The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde'' by Robert Louis Stevenson. Originally conceived for the stage by Frank Wildhorn and Steve Cuden, it features music by Frank Wildhorn, a book by Leslie Bricusse and lyrics by all of them. Delanie Jane Wiedrich (born May 8, 1996 in Walnut Creek, California) is an American beauty pageant titleholder from Hazen, North Dakota, who was crowned Miss North Dakota 2015. She competed for the Miss America 2016 title in September 2015. Pageant career In June 2013, Wiedrich won the Miss Dickinson 2014 title. She chose not to compete in the 2014 Miss North Dakota pageant. Instead, Wiedrich spent the summer as a Burning Hills Singer in the Medora Musical, North Dakota. The Miss North Dakota USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of North Dakota in the Miss USA pageant. Since 2010, it is directed by Future Productions based in Savage, Minnesota. The Miss North Dakota Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of North Dakota in the Miss Teen USA pageant. Compared to the sister Miss North Dakota USA pageant, North Dakota Teen USAs have been quite successful at Miss Teen USA, and are ranked fifteenth in terms of number and value of placement North Dakota is one of only ten states to have had nine or more semifinalist (or better) placements at Miss Teen US Despite this, no Miss North Dakota Teen USA has ever won the Miss Teen USA crown, though both Audra Mari and Caitlyn Vogel finished as 1st runner-up in 2011 and 2019 respectively.
