Annette Heffernan
Annette Heffernan is a former List of New Zealand international netball players, New Zealand netball international. Between 1985 and 1990, she made nine senior appearances for New Zealand national netball team, New Zealand. She was a member of the New Zealand teams that won gold medals at the 1987 World Netball Championships and the Netball at the 1985 World Games, 1985 and Netball at the 1989 World Games, 1989 World Games. Her sister, Maxine Blomquist, their cousin, Shirley Langrope, and her twin daughters, Kate Heffernan and Georgia Heffernan, have all played international netball for New Zealand. Annette and Maxine were the first set of sisters to play international netball for New Zealand. Kate and Georgia were the third set. Maxine Blomquist (born 13 March 1956) is a former List of New Zealand international netball players, New Zealand netball international. Between 1974 and 1982, she made 31 senior appearances for New Zealand national netball team, New Zealand. She was a member of the New Zealand teams that won a gold medal at the 1979 World Netball Championships and a bronze medal at the 1975 World Netball Championships. Her sister, Annette Heffernan, their cousin, Shirley Langrope, and her two nieces, Kate Heffernan and Georgia Heffernan, have all played international netball for New Zealand. The Australia national netball team, also known as the Australian Diamonds, represent Netball Australia in international netball tournaments such as the INF Netball World Cup, the Commonwealth Games, the Constellation Cup, the Netball Quad Series and the Fast5 Netball World Series. National Netball League (New Zealand)
The National Netball League is a New Zealand netball league. Since 2016 it has served as a second-level league, initially below the ANZ Championship and later below the ANZ Premiership. It is organised by Netball New Zealand. Between 2016 and 2020, due to sponsorship and naming rights arrangements, the NNL was known as the Beko Netball League. Since 2022, the league has been sponsored by Synergy Hair and, as a result, it is also known as the Synergy Hair National League. The teams in the competition are effectively the reserve teams of ANZ Premiership teams. Netball South won the inaugural title in 2016. St Hilda's Collegiate School
Saint Hilda's Collegiate School is a secondary school for girls in Dunedin, New Zealand. History Founded as an Anglican school in 1896 by the first bishop of Dunedin, Bishop Samuel Nevill and staffed by the Sisters of the Church. The sisters withdrew from the school in the 1930s. St Hilda's is the only school of the Anglican Diocese of Dunedin. It is integrated into the New Zealand state school system. It has a roll of approximately 450 girls with around one third of the school being boarders from both around New Zealand and overseas. The school is named after Saint Hilda, a 7th-century English abbess remembered for the influential role she played in the Synod of Whitby.
