Anneliese Rothenberger
Anneliese Rothenberger (19 June 191924 May 2010) was a German operatic soprano who had an active international performance career which spanned from 1942 to 1983. She specialized in the lyric coloratura soprano repertoire, and was particularly admired for her interpretations of the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Richard Strauss. Life and career Rothenberger was born in Mannheim, Germany. She studied with Erika Müller, and took up her first engagement in Koblenz in 1942. In 1946, Günther Rennert offered her a job at the Hamburg Opera House, where she sang in Rennert's now famous production of Alban Berg's ''Lulu'' twenty years later, a role she would also perform at the Munich Opera Festival, under the direction of Christoph von Dohnányi. 1954 saw her make her debut at the Salzburg Festival, and she appeared in Rolf Liebermann's ''Schule der Frauen'', three years later. Annalise Murphy (born 1 February 1990) is an Irish sailor who won a silver medal in the 2016 Summer Olympics. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo 2021, in Laser Radial. Life She is a native of a suburb of Dublin. Her mother Cathy McAleavy, competed as a sailor in the 1988 Summer Olympics. competing in the 470 class at the Olympics in Seoul in 1988. Annelise Josefsen (born 2 October 1949) is a Norwegian-Sami artist. She works in many different techniques, but has particularly marked herself as a sculptor. She has been active in the Sami Artists Association (SDS), serving as chair of the board for several periods. Biography Annelise Josefsen was born on 2 October 1949 in Hammerfest. She grew up in Sæterfjord, Kvalsund municipality, Finnmark. Her family ancestry is Seaside Sami. Josefsen began her education at the Sami Folk High School in Karasjok. She then studied textile work at Finnmark homecraft school in Lakselv before furthering her training as an artist at the Western Academy of Fine Arts in Bergen (1979-1983). Annelise Mathilde Hovmand (17 September 1924 – 28 December 2016) was a Danish film director, screenwriter and film producer. She directed 12 films between 1955 and 1991. Annelise Høegh (26 July 1948 – 27 March 2015) was a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party (Høyre). Høegh was a member of the Parliament of Norway from 1985 to 2001, representing Oslo. Annelise Coberger (born 16 September 1971) is a New Zealand former alpine skier. Born in Christchurch, she became the first person from the Southern Hemisphere to win a medal at the Winter Olympics when she won silver in the slalom at Albertville in France in 1992. For this success, at the annual Halberg Awards she was awarded the title of New Zealand Sportsman of the Year. Coberger also competed at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer but did not finish her first run of the slalom. Anneliese Helene Charlotte von Oettingen (22 January 1917 – 9 December 2002) was a ballerina and influential ballet teacher and choreographer. After training in Berlin and London, she taught in Berlin during World War II.
