Anne Keefe (broadcaster)
Anne Keefe (February 12, 1925 - December 29, 2015) was an American radio and television broadcaster and talk show host who worked in Rochester, New York and St. Louis, Missouri. She had a major role in radio and television for 50 years. The '' St. Louis Dispatch'' described her as a pioneer and a legend. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and the University of Rochester. She worked at WHAM on the radio and then on television. She also worked at WROC (AM), WROC in Rochester and then KMOX in St Louis. WROC (950 Hertz, kHz), currently branded as 95.7 The Fan, is an AM radio, AM radio station licensed to Rochester, New York, airing a Sports radio format. The format is closely affiliated with Buffalo, New York, Buffalo sister station WGR, and carries content from CBS Sports Radio, the BetQL Network, and local shows, along with play-by-play from teams owned by Pegula Sports and Entertainment. The station's studios are located at High Falls Studios downtown, and its transmitter tower is on Rochester's southside near the Interstate 390 (New York), I-390/Interstate 590, I-590 freeway interchange. KMOX
KMOX (1120 AM) is a commercial radio station in St. Louis, Missouri. Owned by Audacy, Inc., it is a 50,000 watt Class A clear-channel station with a non-directional signal. The KMOX studios and offices are on Olive Street at Tucker Boulevard in the Park Pacific Building in St. Louis. KMOX refers to itself as "NewsRadio 1120 - The Voice of St. Louis." It is considered the first U.S. station to program all talk shows around the clock. KMOX's transmitter is located off Route 162 in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. With a good radio, KMOX's nighttime signal can be heard in most of the Central United States and into Mexico and Canada.
