''Annaluise and Anton'' (German: ''Pünktchen und Anton'') is a 1953 Austrian-West German comedy film directed by Thomas Engel and starring Paul Klinger, Hertha Feiler, and Heidemarie Hatheyer. It was one of the 10 most popular films released in Austria that year.Fritsche p.168 It was made at the Sievering Studios in Vienna. The film's sets were designed by the art director Fritz Jüptner-Jonstorff. It was remade in 1999. Carl De Groof
Carl de Groof (born Karl Krof 3 December 1923 Vienna, Austria - 18 January 2007 Javea, Spain) was an Austrian composer, film composer and orchestra conductor. De Groof began his career shortly after the end of the Second World War. He worked as an orchestral musician and a writer for composers like Hans Lang. He also became a conductor, most notably for the Hofburg Palace in 1946 and for the Vienna Boys' Choir. In 1953 he founded the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra RAVAG, later dance orchestra of the Österreichischer Rundfunk (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation). In the same year he graduated with his own orchestra and also made an appearance in ''Anna Louise and Anton''. De Groof was then selected to write the background music and arrangement by Helmut Käutner for his legendary guerrilla and anti-war film Die letzte Brücke (The Last Bridge). Maria Eis
Maria Eis (born Prague, 22 February 1896 - died Vienna, 18 December 1954) was an Austrian actress of stage and screen. Between 1918 and 1923 Eis performed on stage at the ''Neue Wiener Bühne'' (New Vienna stage), the ''Renaissancebühne'' (Renaissance stage) and the ''Kammerspielen''. Later, she moved to Hamburg, where she played at the Thalia Theater and at the ''Deutschen Schauspielhaus'' until 1932. When she returned to Vienna, she joined an ensemble group at the ''Burgtheatre'' (City Theatre), where she played character and tragic roles up until her death. Her performances, such as Elizabeth I, Lady Macbeth, Sappho, Medea, and Iphigenia are considered noteworthy. Eis also acted in a number of successful films after 1935. Carl Möhner
Carl Martin Rudolf Möhner (11 August 1921 – 14 January 2005) was an Austrian film actor, director, screenwriter and painter. He appeared in more than 40 films between 1949 and 1976. His most famous roles were as Jo "le Suédois" in the 1955 French heist film ''Rififi'' and as Captain of Battleship Bismarck in the film Sink the Bismarck!. Möhner retired from filming in 1976. He married Wilma Langhamer, a German painter in 1978. In 1979 the couple settled down in McAllen, Texas, where Carl died from Parkinson's disease in 2005.
