Anna Dahlberg
Anna Olsson (born 1 May 1976 as Anna Dahlberg in Kramfors, Ångermanland) is a Swedish cross-country skier who competed from 1996 to 2010. Competing in three Winter Olympics, she won a gold medal in the team sprint (with Lina Andersson) at Turin in 2006. Olsson also won a silver medal in the team sprint event at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec Liberec (; german: Reichenberg ) is a city in the Czech Republic. Kramfors
Kramfors () is a locality and the seat of Kramfors Municipality in Västernorrland County, Sweden. It had a population of 5,990 inhabitants in 2010. The town grew on the western bank of the Ångerman river in the 19th century as harvested logs were floated downriver to be processed at local sawmills and pulp mills. Christopher Kramm introduced the river's first steam-driven saw, naming it after himself. The name of the town in turn derives from his name and the word ("rapid"). In the 1960s and 1970s, as the timber industry went into decline, the population of Kramfors declined as well. The original settlement of Kramfors was located in Gudmundrå municipality, but in 1889 received the status of a so-called or borough, still remaining part of the original municipality. Ångermanland
Ångermanland ( or ) is a historical province (''landskap'') in the northern part of Sweden. It is bordered (clockwise from the north) by Swedish Lapland, Västerbotten, the Gulf of Bothnia, Medelpad and Jämtland. The name is derived from the Old Norse ''anger'', which means "deep fjord" and is a reference to the deep mouth of the Ångerman River (''Ångermanälven''). In earlier times the province was known, in medieval Latin, as Angermannia. The Women's 30 kilometre classical interval start cross-country skiing competition at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, United States, was held on 24 February at Soldier Hollow. Each skier started at half a minute intervals, skiing the entire 10 kilometre course. The defending Olympic champion was the Russia Larisa Lazutina, who won in Nagano, but the 10 kilometre event was then held as a pursuit. The cross-country skiing events at the 2002 Winter Olympics were marred by drug problems. The winners of three races were disqualified after blood tests showed that three skiers had overly high red blood cell counts indicating the use of darbepoetin, a drug used to treat anemia. At the time, the drug was not specifically listed in the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) list of banned substances, but the Olympic rules generally prohibit doping of any kind, in accordance with its charter. After two years and several lawsuits in Olympic and Swiss courts, the skiers in question (Johann Mühlegg of Spain, and Larissa Lazutina and Olga Danilova of Russia) were stripped of all their medals from the 2002 Games.
