Anna, Quel Particolare Piacere
''Anna, quel particolare piacere'' (internationally released as ''Anna: the Pleasure, the Torment'' and ''Secrets of a Call Girl'') is a 1972 Italian crime-drama film directed by Giuliano Carnimeo. It was referred as a film with a good cinematography and actors appropriate to their roles but unbalanced between its parts. Plot The young and beautiful Anna is linked to Guido, a drug trafficker embroiled in shady turns of Milan in the seventies. While pregnant, the woman refuses to have an abortion and gives birth to Paolo, a sick child in need of continuous care. During one of Guido's many detentions, Anna meets Lorenzo, a world-famous Milanese surgeon: the man saves Paolo's life with a delicate operation. Released from prison, Guido tries to hinder in every way the romantic relationship born in the meantime between Lorenzo and Anna. Giuliano Carnimeo
Giuliano Carnimeo (born Carmineo; 4 July 1932 – 10 September 2016) was an Italian director and screenwriter, sometimes credited as Anthony Ascott or Antony Ascot. Life and career Born in Bari, Carmineo started his career as assistant director for, among others, Giorgio Simonelli and Camillo Mastrocinque. He made his directorial debut as co-director, alongside George Sherman, of the international co-production '' Panic Button'', later focused on genre films, especially Spaghetti Westerns and commedie sexy all'italiana. He died in Rome on 10 September 2016. Ennio Balbo
Ennio Balbo (18 April 1922 – 18 June 1989) was an Italian film, television and voice actor. Biography Born in Naples, Balbo made his debut on stage immediately after the Second World War alongside Paola Borboni and Lamberto Picasso in Luigi Pirandello's ''Così è se vi pare''. He was later a member of the theater company of Gino Cervi, as well as one of the members of the "Society of the Four" alongside Valeria Moriconi, Lia Zoppelli and Gianni Agus. He was also very active as a character actor in films, mainly in villain roles; Balbo took part to numerous Spaghetti Western films in which he was usually credited as Edward Bell. Balbo appeared in over 45 films between 1958 and 1988. He appeared in an episode of the short-lived 1974 ABC police drama '' Nakia'', credited as Edward Bell. Antonio Casale (17 May 1932 – 4 February 2017) was an Italian film actor of the 1960s and 1970s who appeared in mostly Spaghetti Western Italian films between 1965 and 1976. Ettore Manni (6 May 1927 – 27 July 1979) was an Italian actor, active in film and television from 1952 and 1979. He was a popular leading man during the 1950’s and ‘60s, when he was a star of the peplum genre. In the following decade, he primarily played supporting roles, with his last appearance in Federico Fellini's '' City of Women'' (1980). Life and career Manni was born and raised in Rome. Life and career Born in Bari, the son of an Italian father and a Bulgarian mother, Raho graduated in philosophy and then, immediately after the war, he debuted on stage.
