Anmol Ghadi
Anmol Ghadi (English translation: Precious Watch ) is a 1946 Indian drama film directed by Mehboob Khan, starring Surendra, Suraiya and Noor Jehan. The film was a musical hit and still remembered for its music by Naushad, with hits like "Aawaaz De Kahaan Hai", "Jawaan Hai Mohabbat Haseen Hai Zamana" and "Mere Bachpan Ke Saathi Mujhe Bhool Na Jaana". The film also featured playback singer, Mohammed Rafi's first notable song, "Tera Khilauna Toota Balak", and became the highest-grossing film at the Indian box office in 1946. The film was an inspiration for the 2001 Telugu movie ''Manasantha Nuvve''. Hamid Ali Murad (24 September 1911 – 24 April 1997) known simply as Murad was an Indian character actor who appeared in more than 100 Hindi language films from the early 1940s through to the end of the 1980s, playing character roles of a father, police officer, judge and an emperor. His son Raza Murad is also an actor in the Hindi film industry who is known for playing mostly villain roles. His niece is actress Zeenat Aman and his granddaughters are actresses Sonam and Sanober Kabir. Early life Murad was born on 24 September 1911 in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, British India. He studied at Minto Circle (STS High School), Aligarh Muslim University. Zohrabai Ambalewali
Zohrabai Ambalewali (1918 – 21 February 1990) was an Indian classical singer and playback singer in Hindi cinema in the 1930s and 1940s. She was considered one of the most popular female playback singers of early and mid 1940s. She is best known for her contralto or low voice range singing in the film songs, "Ankhiyan Milake Jiyaa Bharmaake" and "Aai Diwali, Aai Diwali" in 1944 hit ''Rattan'' (1944), with music by Naushad, and "Uran Khatole Pe Ud Jaoon", duet with Shamshad Begum in ''Anmol Ghadi'' (1946), also under Naushad's music direction. She, along with Rajkumari, Shamshad Begum and Amirbai Karnataki, were amongst the leading first generation of playback singers in the Hindi film industry.
