Above & Beyond (band)
Above & Beyond are an electronic music group consisting of English DJs Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Finnish DJ Paavo Siljamäki. Formed in 2000, they are the owners of London-based electronic dance music labels Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, and also host a weekly radio show titled ''Group Therapy Radio''. The trio has been consistently ranked among ''DJ Magazine's'' Top 100 DJs Poll, having placed at No. 6 in 2007, No. 4 in 2008 & 2009, No. 5 in 2010 & 2011, No. 51 in 2018, No. 22 in 2019, No. 19 in 2020, No. 21 in 2021, and most recently No. 30 in 2022. History Formation (1999–2000) Grant and Siljamäki met at the University of Westminster. Jaytech
James Cayzer (born 1985), better known by his stage name Jaytech (not to be confused with Youtuber Jaytech) is an Australian electronic music producer, DJ, and a trained pianist. Jaytech started producing at the age of 14, and released his first track at 16. In 2006, a remix of his track ''Genesis (Jimbo's Afterburner Mix)'' was included by Tiësto on his In Search of Sunrise 5: Los Angeles compilation. His first artist album ''Everything is OK'' was released in 2008, on Anjunadeep. It was also the first album released on that label. His and James Grant's compilations "Anjunadeep 02" and "Anjunadeep 03" reached Number 1 in the iTunes dance chart. Mixmag called the former "the compilation of the month". The iTunes Store is a digital media store operated by Apple Inc. It opened on April 28, 2003, as a result of Steve Jobs' push to open a digital marketplace for music. Sunny Lax, born Levente Márton (; born August 6, 1986), is a Hungarian trance music and progressive house producer. History Sunny Lax debuted on the music scene with the 12" ''P.U.M.A. / Cassiopeia'' EP as his debut release on Anjunabeats in February 2006, which was widely played by highly esteemed DJs such as Paul van Dyk and Armin van Buuren. Music and programming had been a major part of Levente's early life, and at the age of 13 he started producing music of his own without any prior music theory knowledge. After buying a few programming books from his pocketbook, he learnt about music software, notably the " Modeplug Tracker", and started to program his own music. He began to compete in various remix competitions in his native Hungary, performing well and boosting his self-esteem. Artem Stolyarov ( rus, Артём Столяро́в; born 28 September 1989), known professionally as Arty (stylized as ΛRTY) and Alpha 9, is a Russian DJ, musician and producer. He has collaborated with Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, BT, Paul van Dyk, Mat Zo, OneRepublic and Matisse & Sadko. Richard Bedford is a Grammy Award-nominated British singer-songwriter.
