Anjunabeats Volume 11
''Anjunabeats Volume 11'' is the eleventh installment in the ''Anjunabeats Volume'' compilation series mixed and compiled by British trance group Above & Beyond. It was released on 9 June 2014 by Anjunabeats. Compared to previous compilations, Disc 1 features music more commonly associated with Above & Beyond's side label Anjunadeep. Overall, the album comprised trance, progressive house, deep house Deep house is a subgenre of house music that originated in the 1980s, initially fusing elements of Chicago house with the lush chords of 1980s jazz-funk and touches of soul music. Above & Beyond are an electronic music group consisting of English DJs Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Finnish DJ Paavo Siljamäki. Formed in 2000, they are the owners of London-based electronic dance music labels Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, and also host a weekly radio show titled ''Group Therapy Radio''. The trio has been consistently ranked among ''DJ Magazine's'' Top 100 DJs Poll, having placed at No. 6 in 2007, No. 4 in 2008 & 2009, No. 5 in 2010 & 2011, No. 51 in 2018, No. 22 in 2019, No. 19 in 2020, No. 21 in 2021, and most recently No. 30 in 2022. Anjunabeats Compilation Albums
Anjunabeats is a British record label started by producers Jonathan "Jono" Grant and Paavo Siljamäki of Above & Beyond in 2000. Initially exclusively a trance music label, around 2011 Anjunabeats started releasing primarily trance-edged house. The name Anjuna comes from the name of a beach in Goa, India. History In 2000, Anjunabeats released its first 12" record, titled Volume One, which was released under Grant and Siljamäki's alias ''Anjunabeats''. As the label got the name Anjunabeats, they decided to produce under different aliases, such as Free State and Dirt Devils. They were soon joined by Tony McGuinness in 2000 after he was asked to collaborate on a remix of Chakra (trance duo) ‘Home’ and formed Above & Beyond. Andrew Bayer
Andrew Michael Bayer (born 1987) is an American DJ and Grammy-nominated music producer. He is best known for working with Anjunabeats as a multi-genre artist and English deep house sublabel Anjunadeep. Born in Washington, D.C., Bayer was piano-educated as a child before graduating with a degree in music synthesis at the Berklee College of Music. His first professional music projects involved working with Scotland producer Alan Nimmo as trance music duo Signalrunners and releasing multiple extended plays and remixes through Anjunadeep. Bayer's first studio album, ''It's Artificial'', was released in 2011 and seen as a multi-genre musical record. His second album '' If It Were You, We'd Never Leave,'' which comprised a more downtempo sound, was released in 2013. Richard Bedford is a Grammy Award-nominated British singer-songwriter. Sunny Lax, born Levente Márton (; born August 6, 1986), is a Hungarian trance music and progressive house producer. History Sunny Lax debuted on the music scene with the 12" ''P.U.M.A. / Cassiopeia'' EP as his debut release on Anjunabeats in February 2006, which was widely played by highly esteemed DJs such as Paul van Dyk and Armin van Buuren. James Cayzer (born 1985), better known by his stage name Jaytech (not to be confused with Youtuber Jaytech) is an Australian electronic music producer, DJ, and a trained pianist. Jaytech started producing at the age of 14, and released his first track at 16.
