Anjaan (lyricist)
Lalji Pandey (28 October 1930 – 3 September 1997), better known by the pen name of Anjaan, was an Indian lyricist known for his work in Hindi language films. Having penned over 1,500 songs for more than 300 films, he is remembered for tracks from his frequent collaborations with composers Kalyanji–Anandji, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, R. D. Burman and Bappi Lahiri. Lyricist Sameer is his son.Remembering an 'Anjaan' lyricist!

Sameer Anjaan
Shitala Pandey, better known as Sameer Anjaan, is an Indian lyricist, writing songs such as "Mujhe Raat Din Bas", predominantly in Hindi language films. He is a Guinness World Record holder for writing the most songs. He was awarded this honor on 17 February 2016. His father is the famed Hindi lyricist, Lalji "Anjaan" Pandey. He has won three Filmfare Awards. Biography Sameer, officially named sameer Pandey, but commonly known by his nickname Rajan, was born near Banaras, Uttar Pradesh. He earned a Master of Commerce degree at the Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, and started a new position as a bank officer at the Central Bank of India. However, a few days after joining, he left the job because he "knew the bank was not my world". To pursue a career as a lyricist, he moved to Mumbai in 1980. ''Anjaan'' (The Unknown) is a 1941 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Amiya Chakrabarty and produced by Bombay Talkies. It was Chakrabarty's first film direction. The film's story and screenplay were by Amiya Chakrabarty, with dialogues by J. S. Casshyap. The cinematography was by the debutant R. D. Mathur. Its music direction was by Pannalal Ghosh, with lyrics by Kavi Pradeep and P. L. Santoshi. The film starred Devika Rani, who had recently returned to films after a two-year absence, following the death of her husband Himanshu Rai in 1940. The cast included Ashok Kumar, David, V. H. Desai, Gulab, Suresh and Om Prakash. Devika Rani and Ashok Kumar formed a popular pair and acted together in eight films from 1936 to 1941. Devika enjoyed a higher status, was termed as a "bigger star" and was accorded top billing. ''Anjaan'' () is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by N. Lingusamy and produced under his banner Thirupathi Brothers. The film stars Suriya and Vidyut Jammwal, while Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Manoj Bajpayee and Dalip Tahil appear in supporting characters. The film follows a disabled man who arrives in Mumbai looking for his gangster brother and learns of the events behind his disappearance. Principal photography began on 20 November 2013, in Mumbai and Goa, and was completed in June 2014. The film's cinematography and editing were handled by Santosh Sivan and Anthony, respectively, while Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the soundtrack album and background score. ''Anjaan'' ('The fearless man') is the soundtrack composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja for the 2014 Tamil film of the same name. Its Telugu version is titled ''Sikander''. The soundtrack album features five songs, with lyrics written by four lyricists for the Tamil version, while Viveka had written two songs, Madhan Karky, Na. Muthukumar and Kabilan had written one each. Development By August 2013, Yuvan was reported to have composed the first song, a "beautiful romantic song" written by Na. Muthukumar. The "introductory song" was written by Madhan Karky and sung by Ranjith. In January 2014, the composer worked on the remaining songs with Lingusamy and lyricist Na. Muthukumar in Singapore.
