Anita Allen (pentathlete)
Anita Allen (born September 10, 1977, in Star City, Indiana) is a United States Army medical service officer who competed in the 2004 Olympic Games in the modern pentathlon, where she finished 18th of 32 competitors. A 2000 graduate of West Point, Allen finished first in the riding portion of the event. She was a standout cross country runner while at the academy. Star City, Indiana
Star City is a census-designated place (CDP) in Van Buren Township, Pulaski County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 344 at the 2010 census. History Star City was originally called Scarboro, and under the latter name was laid out in 1859. The original name proved to be unpopular, and the name was changed to Star City in 1861 by a vote of the citizens. A post office has been in operation at Star City since 1862. Female (symbol: ♀) is the sex of an organism that produces the large non-motile ova (egg cells), the type of gamete (sex cell) that fuses with the male gamete during sexual reproduction. United States Military Academy
The United States Military Academy (USMA), also known metonymically as West Point or simply as Army, is a United States service academy in West Point, New York. It was originally established as a fort, since it sits on strategic high ground overlooking the Hudson River with a scenic view, north of New York City. It is the oldest of the five American service academies and educates cadets for commissioning into the United States Army. The academy was founded in 1802, one year after President Thomas Jefferson directed that plans be set in motion to establish it. It was constructed on site of Fort Clinton on West Point overlooking the Hudson, which Colonial General Benedict Arnold conspired to turn over to the British during the Revolutionary War.
