Animoog
Animoog is a music synth mobile app designed for iPad, iPhone and BlackBerry Z10. Animoog is powered by Moog Music's Anisotropic Synthesis Engine. Description There are three versions of Animoog. Animoog for the iPad is simply named 'Animoog'. 'Animoog for iPhone', which offers different features and layout, works on iPhones and the iPod Touch. There also is a third version named 'Animoog for Blackberry', built for the BlackBerry Z10. Animoog comes with tens of varied sound presets. Moogfest is a music and technology festival held annually or bi-annually in Durham, North Carolina that honors engineer Robert Moog and his musical inventions. This multi-day, multi-venue event hosts artists and audiences from throughout the world. Richard Devine
Richard Devine is an Atlanta-based electronic musician and sound designer. He is recognized for producing a layered and heavily processed sound, combining influences from glitch music to old and modern electronic music. Devine largely records for the Miami-based Schematic Records, which was founded by Josh Kay of Phoenecia. He has also done extensive recording and sample work with Josh Kay under the name DEVSND. As a result of praise of his music from Autechre as well as a remix of Aphex Twin's " Come to Daddy", Devine recorded an album for Warp Records which was jointly released by Schematic and Warp. Devine first started using computers for composition around 1993. Don Hassler, an instructor at the Atlanta College of Art, got him interested in computer synthesis, introducing Devine to Csound and other powerful computer-based applications. Drew Neumann
Drew Neumann is an American musician and composer of film and television scores. He created the soundtrack of the science fiction animated series ''Æon Flux'', and has composed music for many other shows, including ''The Wild Thornberrys'', ''Bunnicula'', ''The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy'' and ''Aaahh!!! Anthem Of The Sun
''Anthem of the Sun'' is the second album by rock band the Grateful Dead, released in 1968 on Warner Bros/Seven Arts. It is the first album to feature second drummer Mickey Hart. The band was also joined by Tom Constanten, who contributed avant-garde instrumental and studio techniques influenced by composers John Cage and Karlheinz Stockhausen. The album was assembled through a collage-like editing approach helmed by members Jerry Garcia and Phil Lesh (along with soundman Dan Healy), in which disparate studio and live performance tapes were spliced together to create new hybrid recordings. The band also supplemented their performances with instruments such as prepared piano, kazoo, harpsichord, timpani, trumpet, and güiro. Sascha Dikiciyan
Sascha Dikiciyan, known professionally as Sonic Mayhem, is a German game musician, producer and professional sound designer of Armenian origin, who has produced the soundtrack for ''Quake II'', ''Tomorrow Never Dies'' and '' Hellgate: London'', as well as approximately half of the soundtrack for ''Quake III Arena'' and all the weapon sound effects for ''Unreal Tournament'' and, since the build 222 patch, also its predecessor, Unreal. Dikiciyan has also produced independent music albums. Dikiciyan's style is primarily a very driving and forceful form of aggro-industrial, with an emphasis on repeated musical phrases (though this is less pronounced in his non-soundtrack work). Currently Sascha collaborates with Cris Velasco who is responsible for orchestral moods in their music. Theremin
The theremin (; originally known as the ætherphone/etherphone, thereminophone or termenvox/thereminvox) is an electronic musical instrument controlled without physical contact by the performer (who is known as a thereminist). It is named after its inventor, Leon Theremin, who patented the device in 1928. The instrument's controlling section usually consists of two metal antenna (radio), antennas which sense the relative position of the thereminist's hands and control oscillation, oscillators for frequency with one hand, and amplitude (Loudness, volume) with the other. Grateful Dead
The Grateful Dead was an American rock music, rock band formed in 1965 in Palo Alto, California.
