"Animals" is a song by American pop rock band Maroon 5. It was released on August 25, 2014, as the second single from the band's fifth studio album '' V'' (2014). The song was written by Adam Levine, Benny Blanco and its producer Shellback. The song peaked at number three on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 giving Maroon 5 their tenth top 10 single in the U.S. Promotion To promote the song, Kia Motors debuted an advertisement of 2015 Kia Soul EV model on August 21, 2014. For a limited time after the commercial premiered, "Animals" was available for free download on the Kia website only. Later, Maroon 5 released the song's lyric video on August 22, 2014, from their YouTube channel. Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, California. It currently consists of lead vocalist Adam Levine, keyboardist and rhythm guitarist Jesse Carmichael, lead guitarist James Valentine (musician), James Valentine, drummer Matt Flynn (musician), Matt Flynn, keyboardist PJ Morton and multi-instrumentalist and bassist Sam Farrar.
