''Animal Kingdom'' is an American drama television series developed by Jonathan Lisco. It is based on the 2010 Australian film of the same name inspired by the criminal Pettingill family created by David Michôd, who is an executive producer for the series, alongside Liz Watts, who also produced the movie. ''Animal Kingdom'' premiered on TNT on June 14, 2016, with the first season consisting of 10 episodes. Starting with the second season, each subsequent season consisted of 13 episodes. The second season premiered on May 30, 2017. The third season premiered on May 29, 2018. The fourth season premiered on May 28, 2019. The fifth season premiered on July 11, 2021. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen.
