Anila Dalal
Anila Amrutlal Dalal is Gujarati critic and translator. Life Dalal was born on 21 October 1933 in Ahmedabad to Amritlal Dalal. She completed SSC in 1949, BA in English in 1954, MA in English in 1956 and later Ph.D. from Gujarat University. She received MS from University of Illinois in 1959. She is a retired professor and Head of the Department of English at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Arts College, Ahmedabad where she taught from June 1960 to 1990s. She received PhD in 1990 from Gujarat University for her thesis on novels of Iris Murdoch. Sunil Gangopadhyay
Sunil Gangopadhyay or Sunil Ganguly (7 September 1934 – 23 October 2012) was an Indian poet, historian and novelist in the Bengali language based in the city of Kolkata. He is a former Sheriff of Calcutta. Gangopadhyay obtained his master's degree in Bengali from the University of Calcutta. In 1953 he and a few of his friends started a Bengali poetry magazine, '' Krittibas''. Later he wrote for many different publications. Ganguly created the Bengali fictional character '' Kakababu'' whose real name is Raja Roy Chowdhury and his passion is to solve mysteries. He wrote 36 novels in Kakababu series which became significant in Indian children's literature. He received ''Sahitya Akademi'' award in 1985 for his novel '' Those Days'' (''Sei Samay''). Sahitya Akademi Translation Prize
Sahitya Akademi Translation Prize or Sahitya Akademi Prize for Translation is a literary honour in India, presented by Sahitya Akademi, India's National Academy of Letters, given to "outstanding translations of creative and critical works" in 24 major Indian languages such as English, Rajasthani, Punjabi and the 22 listed languages in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution recognised by the Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi. The award, established in 1989, comprises a plaque and a cash prize of ₹ 50,000.
